William Strickler

William Strickler is a bassist, bandleader, composer and educator based in Columbus, Ohio. Since graduating with a Bachelor in Music from the Capital University Conservatory of Music, he has played across the country for a variety of local and national artists, including Grammy-award winning pop singer Daya. Besides his work as a sideman, Strickler leads Waves De Aché, a project mixing his upbringing on American jazz, rock and hip-hop with his love of Cuban and other styles of Latin music. Waves De Aché released their debut studio album in spring of 2019, featuring eight original compositions.

Rick Soriano is a drummer, timbalero and pianist whose diverse style covers a broad spectrum of moods, energies and dynamics covering jazz, rock, fusion, latin, salsa, blues, pop, funk, classical, new age, and world music. Being a drummer with 4-limb independence, Rick can also perform on drums and piano simultaneously!

Alfredo Balcacer

Alfredo Balcacer (b. March 11, 1984) is a guitarist and educator from the Dominican Republic. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from Utah State University and a Master's Degree in Music Performance at Western Michigan University. After coming to the United States, he has studied privately with Corey and Mike Christiansen, Fareed Haque, Tom Knific. Alfredo has performed in the U.S., Brazil, Canada and the Dominican Republic, and has taught guitar privately for more than 15 years. Besides being a former member of award-winning groups such a Gold Company, Utah State University Jazz Orchestra, Western Michigan University Jazz Orchestra and Mas Que Nada Latin Ensemble, Alfredo was also a recipient of scholarships from the Dominican Republic, Utah State Caine College of the Arts and the WMU Department of Music

Jonas Linnemann

Overview Jonas Linnemann has shown to be very versatile in terms of musical styles and genres. As co-leader of the formation StarkLinnemann he recorded three albums Awake (2014), Transcending Chopin Volume 1 (2016) en Transcending Chopin Volume 2&3 (2016). The genre of StarkLinnemann is best described as: Universal Crossover Music. After Jonas Linnemann graduated at the Fontys Conservatory in Tilburg (NLD) in 2005, he continued to develop musically as instrumentalist and composer. He has worked as drummer and percussionist with many renowned Jazz musicians. He is currently residing in Tilburg (NLD) with Jessica and their daughter Adinda

Hansen's Garden District Band

The Garden District Band (Trio to Hot-Groove Nine) performs original compositions (instrumental and with lyrics) along with selections from the Great American songbook, classic standards, very old New Orleans traditional jazz, big band hits, bebop, Latin/Jazz to funky New Orleans street beat or second line songs in a very creative and highly improvised setting. The band performs instrumental and with vocals. Band members include (and have included) professional musicians from varying ethnic and origin backgrounds including African American, American, Brazilian, British, Canadian, Italian, Japanese, Mexican and South American citizens and include or have included male and female performers. Since 2006, over twelve years, Hansen has produced, recorded, mixed, mastered and released ten albums (CD/digital recordings) that are distributed and sold world-wide through CDBaby and digital partners that include Amazon music, iTunes and almost every digital music outlet

Mike Freeman

Musician - composer - band leader - recording artist - arranger - educator - producer Vibraphonist and composer Mike Freeman has been a part of the New York jazz and Latin music scene for a day or two. Dan McClaneghan of Allaboutjazz described him as "masterful" and ranked among other top names of the instrument. With spirited soulful swing, Freeman's performances have taken him from North America and Europe to the Azores, Caribbean, and South America. His recordings of original music include tributes to Cal Tjader, Tito Puente, and NEA Jazz Master Bobby Hutcherson. Freeman's recordings have received national and international attention and extensive radio airplay, charting on jazz, contemporary jazz, and World Music radio. A 2019 Lower Manhattan Cultural Council grant recipient Freeman produced the two concert series “Latin Music In Hell’s Kitchen, A History” with guest legends Ray Mantilla and Jose Mangual Jr

Jay Danley

Canadian recording artist Jay Danley is a world-class session musician who contributed instrumentally to multiple Juno award-nominated records (Hilario Duran) and is the featured guitarist on the Juno award-winning (Julian Fauth), blues album of the year release.   He has performed with a multitude of legendary musicians from around the world. His coveted tenure with British–Canadian jazz vibraphonist, percussionist, and composer Peter Appleyard is a memorable chapter is in his storied career, along with performances with primary members of Buena Vista Social Club and Salsa star Oscar D'León, to name a few.   Danley is recognized as one of Canada’s leading Jazz and Latin multi-instrumentalist musicians/composers, who as band leader delivered many memorable performances, at the highly acclaimed “Beaches International Jazz Festival,” performed at Toronto’s legendary Massey Hall and graced the stage at the “Barbados Jazz Festival.”   Known as the creator of his own compelling style of “Ethiojazz,” Jay was selected by the “Ontario Arts Council,” in a rigorous juried competition, to receive funds to create his current album release titled "Ethiojazz Volume 1." The album contains memorable melodies, themes and incredible performances, showcasing tracks that flow from high energy dance music to sweet ballads
