Kinva

"Kinva" in Ukrainian means a traditional wooden mug-like vessel, used both for storing and consuming liquids. The band Kinva is such a vessel: they preserve traditional ethnic Ukrainian melodies ivn order to serve them in a fresh, jazz form.

Beautiful melodies full of melancholy and longing for the homeland, this is what  KINVA's 2023 debut album sounds like. The Ukrainian trio was formed in Poland right after Russia invaded Ukraine.
