1994: Josef moves to NYC from Moscow and starts performing with various rock-bands in major NY clubs (Lions Dan, Bitter End, Terra Blues, Elbow room, Wet Lands) 1996 - 1997: classical guitar lessons at Bridge Caldro Music School 1997 - 2001: jazz guitar and improvisation technique studies in AIG (American Institute of Guitar)with Peter Mazza 1998-2003: plays jazz in best NYC clubs (Blue Note, Smalls, Village Bistro, Knitting factory). Starts teaching music and prepares students for entering Berkley, Manhattan school of music etc. Works as a session musician in various NYC studios. 2003: moves to Chicago
