John Fifield

Born:

John began his musical career in Connecticut playing in regional rock and Top 40 cover bands and in the jazz circuit throughout the Hartford area. After private study with Bob Kobus, Dave Santoro and Bob Thompson and completing coursework at the Hartford Conservatory in 1980, he relocated to the South Florida area in 1981 and began playing in a wide variety of live and studio settings ranging from reggae to straight-ahead jazz to rap/bass and everything in between. Notable performance and/or recording credits include - John "Spider" Martin, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Joe Locke, Don Miller, Joel Rosenblatt, Ric Fierabracci, Lou Donaldson, Ron Perillo, Teddy Mulet, Lee Levin, David Fernandez, Randy Singer, Gene Ludwig, the New World Symphony and many more. John's primary focus nowadays is production, composition and session work out of The Music Box, his recording facility in Hollywood, Florida and with the Miami-based session team at www.gorangrooves.com. His latest production effort is "All Shades of Blues," released in May 2010 for vocalist, Beverly Lewis
