Johannes Ludwig is a young saxophone player of a new Generation in German Jazz. In 2011 he graduated from the HfM Nuremberg „summa cum laude“ where he has studied with Hubert Winter, Klaus Graf and Steffen Schorn. Born 1988, he picked up the saxophone at age 9 and later added flute and clarinet to his portfolio. From 2004 to 2007, he was a member of the Youth Jazz Orchestra of he state Baden Württemberg, and from 2008 until 2010 he was a member of the German Youth Jazz Orchestra (BuJazzO) which took him on tours to South Africa and India. He regularly performs with the renowned Sunday Night Orchestra and pushes the envelope with his own emerging projects Jean Quadrat und the Ludwig Quartett and Quintett
