Jazzedelics is the brainchild of singer/percussionist {{m: Tony Jones = 3051}}and guitarist {{m: Doug Perkins = 47509}} based on a simple premise: what if seminal rock giants of the 60s had written their songs in a jazz framework? To bring this idea to life, they needed the talents of {{m: Adam Cohen = 13836}}on electric and upright bass (Ray Charles, David Benoit, Ernie Watts, Phil Upchurch, Gregg Karukas, Eric Marienthal, Tim Weisberg), {{m: Chris Smith = 4416}} on keyboards (Jefferson Starship, Supremes), {{David Anderson on drums}} (Larry Carlton, David Benoit, Stanley Clark, Chaka Khan, Eric Marienthal) and the vocal talents of {{m: Angela Carole Brown = 17507}}. With music from Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Animals and others, Jazzedelics is a mash-up band that will excite audiences looking for something familiar but out of the ordinary.
