Homero Alvarez Sep7ett is a dynamic seven-piece ensemble led by guitarist/composer Homero Alvarez. Founded in Sweden, the group crafts an energetic, up-tempo blend of jazz infused with rich Latin American rhythms—drawing from cumbia, samba, baião, maracatu, candombe, and bossa nova—while offering space for individual artistry and improvisation.

Alvarez himself has a diverse musical background: born in Buenos Aires, he and his family relocated to Sweden during his youth. His experience composing for theater, film, TV, and radio shapes much of the emotional depth in his writing.

Manoel Cruz is a prominent figure in Brazilian instrumental music, widely recognized for his mastery as a bassist, composer, arranger, and producer. Based in São Paulo, his artistry seamlessly fuses the refined techniques of contemporary jazz with the rhythmic richness of regional Brazilian sounds, ranging from baião and maracatu to samba and forró.

With a career spanning decades, Manoel has consolidated his reputation both as a highly sought-after sideman for Brazilian icons—such as Adylson Godoy, Pery Ribeiro, and Moacyr Franco—and as a prestigious solo artist with international reach.

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Abdallah Harati grew up in São José dos Campos and since 2015, is established in Munich, Germany. At home, there wasn’t a single day that passed without the radio on or his mom singing. With his grandparents addicted to the traditional Brazilian music, he couldn’t escape. Uncles and cousins, some amateurs, other professional musicians, music quality was always a must. He started learning music since childhood. Flute, piano and finally the guitar. Ramiro Pinheiro

Ramiro Pinheiro is a subtle and creative acoustic guitarist from Brazil who is also a talented songwriter. He was mostly self-taught at the beginning, learning the guitar by ear before attending the Conservatório Souza Lima in São Paulo. Pinheiro moved to Barcelona (Spain) 14 years ago and he has been an important part of the local music scene ever since, working with a wide variety of top jazz and Brazilian musicians. While he has appeared on several recordings since 2010, Sentido is his debut CD as a leader.
