“They’re familiar tunes. I try to play them in a way that not only catches people’s ears but gives them a chance to maybe have their own visualization of what’s going on as part of the music,” van Deusen said.

“I play really pretty piano music and mix that up with sing-alongs and family-friendly tunes. I do a couple of Ray Stevens’ things and keep people laughing and keep toes tapping and people smiling. I just play the piano the best that I can.”

Born in Warsaw, Poland to Vietnamese parents, Fryderyk started his musical journey at the age of 6 with classical piano. He studied Sound Engineering at Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. Being exposed to the technological side of music making, he started leaning towards the world of sound design and electroacoustic compositions. After spending time in USA at Berklee College of Music, he was heavily influenced by artists from all around the world. Teri Roiger has been making music all her life (since age 5!) and over the years her music has taken many exciting twists and turns. Teri is a jazz vocalist, but also plays piano, composes music and writes lyrics. She has been sharing her knowledge and inspiration with her many students at SUNY New Paltz for several years. The depth of her experiences and love of jazz is apparent when she brings all of her talents to a live performance, the recording studio, and in her compositions. Mexican pianist graduated from the Higher School of Music (INBA) who has performed in various National and International Jazz Festivals (Philippines, Bolivia). She in international independent performances as well as classical music festivals (Montrèal, France and Italy). She has collaborated with the Panamerican Big Band Jazz, with the JazzFest AC Foundation Ensemble and various independent projects. She has 2 jazz record productions titled "Hilando Lunas" (2010) and "Leitmotiv" (2015) by Resijazz where she composed pieces made for Big Band, quintet, sextet and trio. She is the creator of Jazz en Movimiento in Querétaro (JEM) where she currently resides, that she is dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of this genre. She is currently developing her career as a composer, pianist and arranger.

Hanna Inui is a Japanese pianist, composer, and improviser. Hanna holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA 2020/Jazz Piano) from School of Jazz at The New School. Hanna’s music molds influences from classical, Japanese pop music, and Black American music, and has two distinctive characters; one being the punk, and the other being the healer. Hanna is currently residing in Brooklyn, NY, exploring solo piano performance, composition, electronics, texts, sound art, and movement designs, searching ways music can exist in this society where every (recorded) music is available for (almost) anyone to hear.

Dennis Lambert

Dennis Lambert was born in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico and began playing the piano at age 5. After 24 years of dedicating his life to playing the piano, he has traveled the world entertaining millions of people with his music. Dennis served in the United States Air Force as a band member. During his time in the service, he performed for President Clinton twice and did two tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has recorded four albums with his latest being released recently entitled 'Testimony'.
