Kari Antila

Born in Laitila, Finland, Kari is graduate of pop/jazz music pedagogue in Stadia, Helsinki, Finland.  Kari moved to Belgium 2003 and studied jazz guitar with famous Belgium Jazz players Peter Hertmans and Philip Catherine. 2006 Kari graduated cum laude from Royal Conservatory of Gent as a Master of Jazz Music. Gio Guido

Gio Guido is an Italian guitarist and composer, born in Naples and based in Tokyo. Renowned for his expressive playing, technical innovation, and genre-crossing versatility, Gio has built a distinguished international career spanning jazz, funk, cinematic music, and classical guitar.

After graduating from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London in 1991, he joined The Jazz Crusaders in 1994. During his tenure, Gio performed at major international festivals and recorded two albums—Sketches of Life and Break’n da Rules. These formative years exposed him to global audiences and collaborations with top-tier musicians.

Lucas Brown

Born:

Lucas Brown is a performing artist, composer and educator. He actively performs both Jazz and classical music and has performed around the US and Canada at such venues as Carnegie Hall, the Kimmel Center, the Jazz Standard and the Blue Note, as well as in Europe and Asia. His compositions have been presented throughout the US and Europe. A member of the faculty at Temple University’s Esther Boyer College of Music, Lucas holds a BM in Jazz Performance from Temple University and a MM in Organ Performance from Westminster Choir College. 

Lucas was a member of saxophone legend Bootsie Barnes' organ trio from the age of 21. He has performed with such Jazz artists as Joey DeFrancesco, Pat Martino, Eric Alexander, Terell Stafford, and Gerald Veasley, and is a sideman on numerous recordings. He was awarded the Clef Club Jazz Award in 2014 in recognition of his contributions as an organist in Philadelphia. Lucas was a member of the Pennsylvania Performing Arts on Tour (PennPAT) artist roster as a member of the group Three Blind Mice, with Victor North and Wayne Smith Jr. Lucas has also performed with Opera Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Orchestra. Lucas toured for three years with Joey DeFrancesco's final trio and is featured on Joey’s album, More Music, released in September of 2021.

Andy Brown

Andy Brown is a guitarist based in Chicago. Born in New York in 1975, he has played professionally for over twenty five years. He has had a varied performing career that has included stints in Cincinnati and New York City.

Since coming to Chicago in 2003, Andy has been fortunate to work at many of the area's finest jazz venues with his own bands, as well as playing his unique brand of solo jazz guitar. He has backed visiting jazz names at places including The Jazz Showcase and Ravinia. Currently he plays solo guitar every Thursday at The Green Mill, leads his quartet twice a month at Andy's Jazz Club and performs with his trio bi-weekly at Winter’s Jazz Club.

Music Soup is a mainstay on the Greek jazz scene where they perform in all types of venues, from festivals and concert halls to jazz clubs, bars, and cafes. Evgenia and Nestor first met in 1998 when Nestor hired Evgenia to sing for a performance with his band. They continued playing together on and off for many years before they decided to form MUSIC SOUP in 2006.

According to Evgenia, “We came up with our group name because we wanted to play different jazz-oriented styles in different group settings. We wanted a name that was a bit light-hearted, because we’re serious about our music but we prefer to not take ourselves very seriously.”

Dave Clark

Originally trained in the classical tradition, Dave's reputation stems from his virtuosic solo performances of jazz standards that feature intricate harmonies and expansive improvisation. Drawing inspiration from his mentor Mimi Fox, Dave's arrangements echo her style, while his blues-infused sound resonates with the spirit of Grant Green. Since 2014 he has been a sought-after collaborator in the San Francisco Bay Area, lending his talents on guitar and bass to various small ensembles
