Ofer Landsberg
Jazz guitarist, Ofer Landsberg, was born in Israel and began playing guitar at the age of seven. In the early 2000’s he spent his formative years immersed in the New York Jazz scene, playing with legendary greats such as; pianist Frank Hewitt, drummer Jimmy Lovelace, pianist Gil Coggins and Jimmy Wormsworth.
Now established as an internationally recognised player, Ofer has led performances at the EFG London Jazz Festival, Bopfest, The Red Sea Festival, Tel-Aviv Jazz Festival and Swansea International Jazz Festival while additionally touring and appearing at prestigious venues such as; Ronnie Scotts (London, UK), Duc De Lombards (Paris, France), Birds Eye Jazz Club (Switzerland) Jazz Club d'Annecy (France), B-Flat Jazz Club ( Berlin, Germany) and JazzCafe Dizzy (Rotterdam, Netherlands).
In 2018 Ofer launched his highly anticipated album "I'll Be Around" and has distinguished himself as a unique voice firmly grounded in the rich tradition of Bebop, he is readily described as a “master musician who refreshes and strengthens its relevance."- London Jazz News.
As an educator, Ofer is equally in demand and has taught guitar and improvisation at the leading Israeli Conservatory in the “Shtricker- NY New School” University Program, Conservatory Misra, Ironi Alef Arts High School and Mizmor Music School. He has also worked as a guest instructor of the “Jazz Futures” Bi-Communal Program, sponsored by the U.S. Embassy and Fulbright Centre in Cyprus. In the UK, Ofer has been invited as a guest lecturer at Manchester University and an ensemble coach at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
