Francisco Quintero is a jazz guitarist primarily based in the east coast of the U.S. He was born in 1991 in Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela. In 2009, he attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Performance in 2012, and Northern Illinois University, obtaining a Master's degree in Jazz Studies in 2017. He has studied and performed with artists such as Peter Bernstein, Alain Mallet, Richie Hart, Derrick Gardner, Carl Allen, Reggie Thomas, Fareed Haque, Ari Brown, Victor Provost, Paul Carr, Andres Briceno, among others, and performed across the United States and Europe as a leader and sideman musician. Although primarily a working jazz guitarist, with deep reverence to greats such as Wes Montgomery, Thelonious Monk and John Coltrane, Francisco is an extremely versatile artist

His first guitar teacher was his father, a well known guitar player in Rijeka area during 1960’s and 1970’s. Later on he studied with the most prominent guitar players in Croatia and studied with and/or attended workshops of many world famous guitar players like Scott Henderson, Robben Ford, Marc Ribot, Sid Jacobs, Kurt Rosenwinkel… After playing shortly in some demo-bands he joins, at the age of 14, a pop-rock group called “Teens” and stays with that band for 7 years.During those years the band played hundreds of concerts in Croatia and abroad, winning many awards in Croatia and internationally (most notable Porin 2000.g.), releasing 3 cd’s, gaining high popularity and appearing on numerous music festivals in many different countries. In the years that followed he collaborates with many famous singers, mostly in Croatia, takes part in different projects, recordings and orchestras in Croatia and internationally

Javier Subatin was born in Buenos Aires in 1985 and he is now living in Lisbon. In Buenos Aires, at the age of ten, he felt the calling for music and guitar playing. When he was 14 he started composing music for guitar and different ensembles and his curiosity about music led him to study jazz guitar, improvisation and composition with several teachers. In 2005 he completed the first year of the Bachelor on Electroacoustic Composition at the Quilmes University and in 2008 he got a Bachelor’s degree in popular music with a specialization in Tango guitar. Dan Andersen is an Austin, Texas based guitarist who performs with the Temple Jazz Orchestra. Some of the Austin venues which he has worked include The Elephant Room, Brass House, One-2-One Bar, and Central Market North. Additionally, he has performed at the Brownsville Latin Jazz Festival, and Houston’s premier jazz club, Cezanne. As a leader, he recorded the album The Spark and appears as co-leader with trombonist Marco Katz on the EP entitled In New Orleans, the 2022 Composer’s Collective’s The Heights Life, and as a side musician on Julia LaShae’s album Introducing… which was voted the #3 album of 2003 in New Orleans by the Times-Picayune

The couple - both on and off stage - have made a name for themselves for their imaginative re-expressions of 20th century song classics. AS IS takes audiences on an intimate journey through the world and words of songs long-forgotten - but newly created - with both the soulfulness and swing that's accessible, memorable and highly musical.

​Alan Schulman is a noted jazz guitarist from Cincinnati, Ohio who studied with the late great guitarist Cal Collins (formerly of the Benny Goodman Orchestra). He holds a Masters degree in Jazz Arranging & Composition from Howard University in Washington DC. A Thelonius Monk Competition Top-10 finalist, he has appeared with such noted jazz artists as Anita Baker, Herbie Hancock, Wynton Marsalis & Michael Feinstein. Stacey Schulman is a jazz vocal stylist and a native of the New York City area, performing in a variety of musical and theatrical roles since the age of nine. As an NYC studio singer, Stacey has had the privilege of singing on radio commercials, television series and movie soundtracks throughout her 20+ year musical career.
