Cobbs is a fusion jazz group hailing from Brooklyn, New York City. The group was founded in
early 2022 and is led by award-winning drummer Ben Friedkin. Completing the group are renowned keyboardist/pianist Julia Chen, innovative guitarist Omri Bar-Giora and virtuoso bassist Noam Tanzer.
Cobbs began as a tribute act to the fusion jazz greats, and overtime, through developing a
close musical connection within the band, shifted its focus to original music, with materials
written by all group members.
Their debut EP "First Attempt" (recorded live in Brooklyn) was released on November 2023.

Andy Rothstein

New Jersey based guitarist Andy Rothstein’s unique musical voice can be attributed partly to his diverse musical influences, and party to the various electronic modifications that he has developed for guitars.
Andy first began playing guitar at age 14. He graduated from Rutgers University, majoring in music and computer science, and he studied privately with Kevin Eubanks, Ted Dunbar, Steve Khan and Vinnie Zummo.
Andy has released three highly acclaimed recordings as a leader. His most recent release Truth Against the World (2022) spent over a year on the Roots Music Report Jazz charts, finishing #1 in the Top Fusion Album Chart for 2022.

Eric McGarry is a guitarist, composer, and educator based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
McGarry is a graduate of the University of the Arts with a Master of Music in Jazz Studies. Prior to completing his Master of Music, McGarry earned a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance with Honors, and a Minor in Music Business, Entrepreneurship, and Technology from the University of the Arts.
McGarry has studied with prominent guitarists Dave Allen, Matt Davis, Tim Motzer, Kevin Hanson, Mike Kennedy, and Ben O’Neill. While attending UArts, McGarry held the guitar chair for the award winning Z Big Band, under the direction of Matt Gallagher.

Her career began in 1986, performing in various venues in Milan and Northern Italy as a singer and guitarist with a repertoire of renowned singer-songwriters and English and American bands such as Joni Mitchell and James Taylor, as well as English and Irish folk music with influences like The Pentangle.

Additionally, she trained as an actress at the Studio Laboratorio dell'Attore and studied modern dance with Miguel Angel Cragnolini.

Javier Rosario

Guitar virtuoso, composer, bandleader, educator and recording artist, Javier Rosario is the first ever Michel Camilo Scholarship winner. The scholarship was an initiative of the Dominican born, Grammy, Latin Grammy and Emmy Award winning pianist. It has been the first scholarship of its kind in the history of the Dominican Republic, where Javier was born in Santo Domingo. In 2006, Javier attended Berklee College of Music with full scholarship, graduating with the highest ratings ever given to a guitarist. In 2009, he performed at the Berklee Jazz and Blues Guitar Night: a concert which only featured the very top players of the entire school. In 2010, Javier decided to further his studies at the Longy School of Music of Bard College with a master’s degree. There he was awarded a Presidential Scholarship and was acknowledged by his guitar teachers as possibly the highest-level guitarist ever to enter the jazz program.
