Jane Saunders is a New York based composer, arranger, musician and educator. She has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe as the creator of the Avant-Garde Metal project The Greatest Fear, whose debut release, “The Coronation of The Locust Queen,” sold over 10,000 albums as an independent artist (receiving The Independent Music Awards Hard Rock/ Heavy Metal Album of the year for 2005). Jane has played flute with the Nevada Symphony Orchestra, Mahler Festival Symphony Orchestra, Henderson Civic Symphony, and Flagstaff Festival Symphony Orchestra. Recently, Jane has scored music for movies Rose’s Children (starring Rutanya Alda The Deer Hunter, Amityville Horror II, Mommy Dearest), Forgetting Sandy Glass (starring Gaia Matisse), and Coffee and Sisters, The Nothing, The Letter J and provided sound design and original compositions for the CUNY production of Eurydice produced by Jedadiah Schultz(The Laramie Project) Jane recently obtained her Masters of Music in studio composition at the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music.
