Jake Schepps and Expedition plays engaging, dynamic material that reflects the Colorado aesthetic of roots music. The Expedition Quartet remains true to the artistic values of stringband, yet draws on certain jazz sensibilities, such as improvisation, more extended harmonies and creative composition.
