As well as being a photojournalist, I am also a drummer and percussionist. I have a performance history dating back to about 1980 when I was performing with blues/rock group The Opening and avant-rock group Quantum. I have also studied African music and performed with African music groups and folk music groups as well as with hard rock groups Power Source and Axcraft. Currently I am the producer and bandleader of free improvised jazz group the Acoustic Reign Project. The self-titled debut cd, engineered by Heart's Roger Fisher who performs on guitar, was released in February 2003.
