Musician

Inbar Solomon

Born:

Inbar Solomon is a saxophonist, flutist, and composer from Tel Aviv, Israel, currently based in New York City. A graduate of The New School’s Jazz and Contemporary Music program, Solomon was awarded significant merit scholarships from both The New School and Berklee College of Music in recognition of his talent and potential.

Deeply rooted in the bebop tradition, Solomon’s playing reflects his admiration for masters such as Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Bud Powell, Barry Harris, and Elmo Hope. His sound on the alto saxophone is characterized by a dark, warm tone, intentionally set apart from the bright style often associated with the instrument. In addition to alto, he performs regularly on baritone saxophone and flute, expanding his palette and bringing multiple voices to his music.
