AZ Lindy Hop Society

Born: April 9, 1996

The Arizona Lindy Hop Society is dedicated to preserving vintage vernacular Jazz and Blues dance and music within the Arizona community through social dance and education in order to bring joy into people's lives. Founded in 1996, the AZ Lindy Hop Society promotes jazz dance and music through live concerts, workshops, classes, and exchanges. We also have an education outreach program teaching dance in the public schools.

Having existed for almost a decade, the band has established itself as a leading ensemble in the Gypsy- jazz style on the Danish music scene. After hundreds of concerts and a well-received debut album, Gypsy Vendetta has developed their own very personal sound, while preserving the essence of the Jazz Manouche tradition. The album “Odd Club Copenhagen”, featuring violinist Alfkil Wennermark, consists of original compositions, seeking to challenge the genre and explore new directions for the development of the modern Gypsy Jazz sound. Gypsy Vendetta has toured in a variety of constellations and collaborations – such as the popular Danish troubadour Bo Evers, creating a unique sound-universe with a blend of singer/songwriter- folk and swinging Gypsy Jazz

Cristobal Pinto

Born: January 26, 1994

Cristobal Pinto is a Mexican jazz composer and guitar player. Pinto has a specialization in General Music Studies (Berklee Online), having Joe Mulholland, Bruce Saunders, and Rick Peckham as instructors. He is one of the main elements of the Guatemala jazz scene since 2017 when he published his first álbum: Deja Vu. With that record, he was invited to participate in large-scale events, such as: Guatemala Jazz Festival (February 2018), Sofar Sounds GT, Jazztronomy (Wine and jazz music festival), Jalisco Jazz Festival (Guadalajara, 2018) In the local scene, Cristobal has played with many great jazz players like Germán Giordano (Berklee Magna Cum Laude), Alejandro Álvarez, Antonio Monterroso (Mcnally Smith College) and several members of Imox Jazz Band
