Gypsy Vendetta

Copenhagen-based Gypsy Vendetta is an experience of extraordinary energy and creativity. Having existed for almost a decade, the band has established itself as a leading ensemble in the Gypsy- jazz style on the Danish music scene.

After hundreds of concerts and a well-received debut album, Gypsy Vendetta has developed their own very personal sound, while preserving the essence of the Jazz Manouche tradition. The album “Odd Club Copenhagen”, featuring violinist Alfkil Wennermark, consists of original compositions, seeking to challenge the genre and explore new directions for the development of the modern Gypsy Jazz sound.

Gypsy Vendetta has toured in a variety of constellations and collaborations – such as the popular Danish troubadour Bo Evers, creating a unique sound-universe with a blend of singer/songwriter- folk and swinging Gypsy Jazz. Recently, the band has engaged in a cross-over project with classical violinist Erik Danciu (Danish National Symphony Orchestra).
