Masayuki Takayanagi

Masayuki 'Jojo' Takayanagi (高柳昌行) (December 22, 1932 – June 23, 1991) was a Japanese jazz / free improvisation / noise musician. He was active in the Japanese jazz scene from the late 1950s. In the 1960s he formed New Directions (later New Direction Unit), which recorded several albums throughout the 1970s. He also recorded several albums with saxophonist Kaoru Abe, including Kaitai Teki Kohkan, Gradually Projection and Mass Projection.

Federico Castelli

Federico Castelli (San Benedetto del Tronto, 1988) is an italian guitarist, composer and educator based in Rotterdam (NL). After graduating in 2013 at Codarts University for the Arts he also obtained his master diploma in jazz guitar studying between the conservatory of Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Through these years Federico has been active part of the jazz comunity of the Netherlands both as a leader and as a sideman in projects such as Federico Castelli trio, The Alessandro Fongaro 5et, Dick De Graaf New Quartet, ROEST. Kika Sprangers Large Ensemble, Jo Goes Hunting etc. Federico is currently working with his new international project co-led with dutch drummer Ruud Voesten and danish bassist Adrian Chirstensen

Chuck Hammer is an American guitarist and soundtrack composer, known for textural guitar work with Lou Reed, David Bowie, and Guitarchitecture. As an artist, Hammer is best known for his Guitarchitecture recordings, though he is also widely regarded as a leading soundtrack composer, having scored approximately 300 documentary films. He is currently developing a series of improvisational textural guitar recordings. He attended State University of New York at Buffalo, studying classical guitar with Oswald Rantucci, jazz with Archie Shepp, and attended lectures presented by Karlheinz Stockhausen

Enver Izmaylov

Enver Izmaylov (Ukrainian: Енвер Ізмайлов, Russian: Энвер Измайлов) (b. 1955 in Fergana, Uzbekistan) is a prominent Crimean Tatar folk and jazz musician (guitarist) resident of Ukraine. Enver Izmaylov graduated from the Fergana music school in 1973 majoring on bassoon, and had started playing the guitar at age 15 (about 1970). Izmaylov does not pluck the strings, but uses jazz tapping - an original technique of electric guitar playing when a musician plays with both hands on the neck by tapping on the strings with his finger-tips, as if it were a keyboard. He developed this technique to a climax simultaneously with, but not knowing of Stanley Jordan

Nuno Marinho

Nuno Marinho is a performer, teacher and promotor. ​ Born in Coimbra in 1981, he started playing the guitar at the age of 14. At the age of 18 he also started his studies in a second instrument, the double bass, at Conservatório Municipal de Coimbra.  In 2006 he moved to Lisbon to study at the "Escola de Jazz Luis Villas-Boas, Hot Club De Portugal".  In 2010 he was invited to perform at "A Festa do Jazz do São Luís", the most prestigious jazz portugues festival, were he was recognized with the "Best Jazz Instrumentalist" award.  In the same year his Jazz-Funk band has won the 2nd place at the "Cool Jazz Talents Competition" by performing original songs of his own.  Nuno Marinho's studies include a Law Degree at the University Of Coimbra (2004) and a Jazz Degree at ESML-Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa (2013).  He is a recognized pedagog of Guitar, Harmony, Jazz Theory, Improvisation and Ear Training. In 2013 he started paying tribute to the "Pat Metheny Group" music. His investigation efforts on the life and work of the the great Jazz Masters have been published by "Jazz.pt" magazine since March 2014. His current band, Secret attempts to blur the lines between the great Indian traditions; Hindustani and Carnatic, and jazz with a strong focus on collective improvisation and a soulful message.  An intrepid traveler on a long journey filled with experiences, Sanjay's quest has brought him face to face with legends, visionaries and doyens.  In a cross cultural diorama of global music, Sanjay has striven to explore his love for jazz, folk, African, American and Latin music while distinctly paying homage to his Indian roots.  Sanjay was also invited by Zakir Hussain to participate in the 2015 CROSS CURRENTS tour that spanned ten cities in the United States

Troy MacCubbin

Troy MacCubbin was born in Australia and grew up in a rural farming area. He started playing guitar at the age of 10, learning from his father and eventually joining his father's band when he was just 14. Troy started taking Guitar a lot more seriously once he began studying with guitar teacher and mentor Tony Calabro at the age of 18. After years of tuition and playing in numerous bands throughout the country, he left his homeland in 1997, made the move to Los Angeles California to further his studies in music and attended Musicians Institute. In 1999 Troy played with a band that won the LA Music Rock Awards, then in 2000 Troy became one of the founding members of the original Rock Pop group “Life Death & Giants” which had great success playing the LA club scene and also with original song placements

Peter Bordonali is a world-renowned guitarist, songwriter and Nashville record producer. He is originally from Brooklyn, NY. At an early age he began a long association with the Guy Lombardo Orchestra. Pete also lived in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Francisco.
