Guitarist, composer, born in Sicily and since 1965 resident in Friuli (North-Italy). The period of his debut dates back to the beginning of the seventies when he carried out a long experience in the jungle filled with many rock and funky bands. At the beginning of the eighties he recorded two albums with well known singers from his home town. Then (83/85) he devoted himself entirely to jazz music tanks to work in collaboration with musicians as Bruno Cesselli, U.T.Gandhi, Giovani Maier, Glauco Venier and many others. In 1985 he obtained his degree in Architecture. In 1990 he partecipated , as a composer, in production of a New-Age CD distribuited in Europe (The Course of Seasons)

Caminante is the first work as leader, with Nazzareno Brischetto on trumpet, Marco Rottoli on doublebass and Matteo Rebulla on Drums. The album came out 16 October 2018 for “SMV” italian label- The artistic director is Fabrizio Fedele (guitarist and composer). Gen starts his career in 2012, playing all round the country with a band called “Sonatin for a Jazz Funeral” in festival like IMaggio Festival, Voci dal Sud, MEI di Faenza, Beatscape Festival Internazionale della musica indipendente etc. With the same band he recorded an album called “SFJF” with the label Tippin’the velvet. Luca Pino
Luca Pino has been making the trek from his hometown of Long Beach, CA to Django in June for several years now and every year he shows up an even better, more seasoned player. He couldn’t get any nicer, so in that regard he hasn’t progressed at all. He first joined our teaching staff—winning rave reviews—in 2017 and we’re happy to have him back in that capacity again. Luca started playing Django-jazz with clarinetist Kale Stiles while they were still in high school. Now they, along with Gage Hulsey, make up the core members of Hedgehog Swing. Here’s a video clip of them in action, performing “Stardust.” Luca’s highlights from 2017 included taking the stage for the first time at Djangofest Northwest, with the Eric Vanderbilt All Stars
