Originally from Tokyo, Japan. Studied piano and trumpet first and switched to the guitar. Moved to New York City in 1988 and studied jazz guitar with Chuck Wayne while attending The College of Staten Island where he studied harmony and composition with Dr. Joseph Scianni. Now lives in the Bronx and leads his own jazz trio and a funk-jazz band, New project with Alan Eicher, Rondew Monroe and Greg Brown. Jose Fernandez Torres “Tomatito” was born in Almeria in 1958, in the Pescaderia neighborhood. His family is associated with Almeria since many generations back and has an inherent musical tradition. His Grandfather Miguel Fernandez Cortes “El Tomate” was a well-known figure at private parties at the turn of the century and among the young aficionados of Almeria’s traditional musical evenings, at which he played duets with his brother Antonio. His father, Jose Fernandez Castro, also “El Tomate”, was a guitar enthusiast at home and played the clarinet in the city’s Municipal Band

Graham Dechter

Guitarist and Los Angeles native Graham Dechter is one of the most promising young jazz musicians on the scene today. Born into a family of musicians, Graham's musical journey began at the age of 5 when he started taking violin lessons and composing various orchestral pieces. His talents as both a violinist and a composer led him to the Idyllwild Arts Academy in Idyllwild, CA, one of three prestigious residential arts high schools in the country. It was there that Graham discovered his passion for guitar and began pursuing his life's calling: jazz. Brad Keller

Brad Keller has been a professional musician and educator for seventeen years. His multi-dimensional musical influences range through Jazz and Blues to Bluegrass and Country and continue through Folk, Rock, Classical and many varieties of World Music. In April of 2001 Brad co-founded The Creaking Tree String Quartet. The acoustic quartet also features the work of John Showman (fiddle), Brian Kobayakawa (double bass) and Andrew Collins (mandolin).
