Jason Seed

Composer/Guitarist Jason Seed’s music has been performed by the Chicago Symphony, The Milwaukee Chamber Orchestra, Present Music, The Wroclaw Baroque Orchestra (Poland), The Icelandic Symphony’s Vijhalmsson Quartet, The Prometheus Trio, Accessible Contemporary Music and others. In Jazz Seed has worked as a guitarist with Bill Frisell, Scott Amendola, Jessica Lurie, Trey Gunn, Dan Trudell and many others, as well as fronting his own groups which have toured across the US and twice to Europe. Seed’s music has been heard in Poland, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic and has sold well in Sweden and Norway. Seed’s genre-be-damned group, The Elixir Ensemble, has put out three records to great reviews and won the 2008 Independent Music Awards for the record Where the Corners Meet. Seed’s music has been played on WXRT, WFMT, NPR, WPR, PRI and countless internet radio stations and podcasts as far reaching as Brazil and Ukraine. In cinema Seed’s music has been featured in 2 scores for independent films and will be used for a live performance to a silent film at Chicago’s Chopin Theatre in April 2011. Seed studied jazz with David Baker at Indiana University and with William Russo in Chicago, and classical music with Ileana Perez-Velasquez and Douglas Lofstrom as well as pursuing a lifelong love of folk music and rock music on his own.

Phil Benoit

Husband and wife team Phil and Angela Benoit head up this Maui based jazz group that has been performing since 1997. Angela was born in Paia, Maui to a musical family. She is gifted with extraordinary talent and has been singing since she was a child. In the late ‘90s she began singing professionally for the first time and found a niche with jazz standards and bossa nova. She has since studied under some of the finest vocal coaches in the state and has been performing regularly on Maui for the past fifteen plus years. Javier Limón

Javier Limón (born 1973) is a record producer, singer and songwriter born and raised in Madrid, Spain. Limón has worked with several artists, mainly from Spain, since he incorporates elements of flamenco rhythm to his work. Besides his work as producer has also dabbled as an interpreter and has released three studio albums, Limón, Son de Limón and Mujeres de Agua. Since 2003, Limón has done recordings in Palestine, Bogotá, Bristol, Paris, Bahia Blanca, Buenos Aires, New York City and Morocco. In 2004, Limón was awarded the Latin Grammy Award for Producer of the Year for his work on Lágrimas Negras by Diego El Cigala and {{Bebo Valdés}}, Cositas Buenas by Paco de Lucia, El Cantante by Andrés Calamaro, El Pequeño Reloj by Enrique Morente, Niño Josele by Niño Josele and Tributo Flamenco a Don Juan Valderrama by various artists.
