Graham Young

Graham started off on the violin aged 6 quickly progressing through the grades with little effort. “I found that I could turn up and sight read everything and still be the ahead of everyone else in the lesson. I didn’t really take it seriously because the repertoire didn’t appeal and I had more fun improvising.” Later piano lessons commenced and although that instrument was to prove to have a lasting hold on Graham it was when he got his first guitar aged 13 that everything changed. “Straight away I knew that my future lay with this instrument.” An intense practice schedule ensued After leaving the Leeds of College Music Graham recorded for various bands and tours of the U.K

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
