Musician

Cellist, composer and arranger, Giuseppe Tortora started studying music very early, at first as a pianist, then as trombonist under his father’s guidance. Then he began studying Cello and got his fist degree at the Conservatorio “S. Ceclilia” in Rome with F. Strano. Later he got also a degree in Chamber Music and Jazz Music. In 1991 he won an international contest for the “Orchestre des Jeunes de la Mediterranee” and went to France where he specialized with R. Filippini. Back to Italy in 1995, he further specialized with A. Noferini. Besides classical music, he studied also jazz composition and arrangement with various teachers such as P
