Giorgio Dini

Born: April 28, 1964

Starts studying the Double Bass in 1984 with Enrico Fazio; under his guide he learns the classical technique (Simandl, Bottesini, Montanari, Bille) and learns the principles and the meanings of the so-called Ananguarde Music.

Following the early days he's been playing in Jazz bands as Free-Lance, performing Mainstream, Bop, Modern and Avanguarde Jazz from Duo to Big band. Among the years he performed with: Carlo Actis Dato, Gianni Basso, Luigi Bonafede, Fabrizio Bosso, Ignacio Berroa, Giulio Camarca, Tommy Campbell, Ed Cherry, Francisco Mora, Roberto Cipelli, Antonio Farao, Franco Mondini, Francisco Mora, Bob Mover, Ralph Moore, Larry Nocella, Sam Rivers, Irene Robbins, Mike Rosen, Mario Rusca, Carlo Sola, Tanaka Takehisa, James Williams, and others. Between 1995 and 2000 he's been regular bassist of the Lil Darling Hot Club, with which regularly performed at the Turin Royal Theatre. Performed all over Italy and in France, Suisse, Japan (gigs in Jazz Clubs, tours, Jazz Contests, Festivals).
