Annette Maye

Annette Maye was born in Flensburg. After graduating from high school, she first completed a course in Eastern European history, musicology and Russian at the University of Freiburg. In 2000 she completed her contact studies in popular music (pop course) at the Hamburg University of Music. She then studied jazz clarinet and bass clarinet at the music academies in Cologne and Paris (2001-2005) with Frank Gratkowski, Claudio Puntin and Riccardo del Fra. She graduated from jazz in 2005 with a diploma.

Awards: In the year 2016 Annette Maye was awarded the NRW Female Prize by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in cooperation with the WDR Jazz Prize. Before, he had won the SWR world music award “querBeet” with ensemble FisFüz in 1998, and in 2006 she had received the Torneo Internazionale di Musica (TIM) award in Rome in the jazz category.

Stefanos Athinaios

Stefanos Athinaios is a Greek-born world percussionist, composer, and educator based in Boston, Massachusetts. With over 15 years of professional experience, he specializes in Middle-Eastern and Mediterranean percussion, blending diverse cultural traditions with electronic and drumset elements into innovative multi-percussion setups that span ethnic, jazz fusion, and world music.

A Berklee College of Music graduate, Stefanos has performed at festivals, jazz clubs, and with orchestras worldwide, and has contributed to over 200 recordings for artists, film, and television. His musical education has been enriched through studies with renowned musicians and masterclasses with leading artists, including Jamey Haddad, Simon Shaheen, Tigran Hamasyan, Ara Dinkjian, Dave DiCenso, and John Patitucci.

Teodora Brody

Born: September 30, 1967

Born in Romania, and now based in Switzerland, Teodora Brody initially trained in classical jazz and rose to prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s singing with legendary jazz pianist Johnny Răducanu.

Acclaimed for her extraordinary vocal power and creative vision, Teodora pioneered the fusion of jazz with Doina – Romania’s improvisatory folk singing tradition – and is widely credited with introducing international audiences to this extraordinary, deeply emotive music.

Always searching for new musical territories to explore, Teodora has performed alongside musicians including Stanley Jordan, Theodosii Spassov, Lars Danielsson, Johnny Răducanu, Les Paul, Curtis Fuller, Eric Legnini, Phillippe Duchemin, Guido Manusardi, Benny Rietveld, Daniele di Bonaventura, Ion Baciu and Al Copley. On the world stage, Teodora has regularly appeared at prestigious European jazz festivals including Montreux, Lugano and Marciac, and across the Atlantic she has performed at the US Library of Congress and the Corcoran Gallery of Art, and at legendary clubs including Iridium New York and Blues Alley in Washington D.C.

Daniel Meron

Through his music, Brooklyn based pianist and composer Daniel Meron awakens listeners' deepest desires and feelings. Born in Israel to a family of Egyptian and Syrian descent, Meron integrates his love for improvisation into original compositions that are both sophisticated and lyrical, rich with influences from Jazz, Middle-Eastern and Latin American music. Meron’s multiple records have gained rave reviews from music critics and radio stations around the world.

For his new record entitled Pendulum (2024 Pinch Records), Daniel has gathered some of New York’s most innovative and distinguished jazz musicians: Drummer Mark Whitfield Jr. (Kenny Garrett, Kurt Rosenwinkle), bassist Tamir Shmerling (Terri Lyne Carrington, Kevin Eubanks), flutist Itai Kriss (Pedrito Martinez, Avishai Cohen) and tenorist Jonathan Greenstein (Omer Avital, Itamar Borochov). Manuel Muzzu

Born: June 25, 1967

Born in Sardinia (italy ) 06/25/1967 I fell in love with a bass guitar when I was a 12 years old boy. Graduate on M.I. Los Angeles in 1994 and U. M. Rome on 1997. I have an handicap on my right hand, due to a mistake by the doctors when I was six years hold, that prevent me to use all fingers. In effort to overcome my disability I worked hard on my own technique for play like a normal people, just because the passion is stronger than destiny. Musician and composer, session player for many artist in a live show, and studio session player for noumerous label and artist. My songs are insipired by all the different sounds I manage to extract from my 6 strings basses including what may sound like a conventional guitar when i use it as an harmonic instruments as oppose to a slap or a straight forward fretless melodic one. I recorded three album at my own names.

Yulia Musayelyan

Yulia Musayelyan is a flutist and composer born in Moscow, Russia, now based in the US. A versatile performer in classical and jazz idioms, she is the founder of the YM Quartet, Macayú Trio, Tango Meets Jazz project, and New Music Collective, dedicated to the performance of new original chamber music. Yulia has toured the US, UK, Europe, Central and South America with various musical projects. A recipient of the 2001 NFAA Award, she was a soloist with TACTUS Contemporary Ensemble in 2005 with guest conductor maestro Pierre Boulez. Her chamber works have been premiered at Symphony Space in New York City and featured in the 2006 film Natalie Bonn

Filippo Bonaccorso

Born: January 29, 1957

Starting out on piano and drums, Filippo Bonaccorso gradually moved from being self-taught at a young age to attending several prestigious music schools, where he had the opportunity to study with teachers such as Agostino Marangolo, Giuseppe Urso, and Giovanni Renzo for a basic foundation in jazz.

He also attended many clinics (e.g., Giulio Capiozzo, John Scofield) and seminars (Roccella Jonica, Berklee-Perugia, Siena, Nuoro, Avigliana), where he honed his individual drumming technique with Eric Echampard, Ron Savage, Tyshawn Sorey, and Ettore Fioravanti. He also studied new techniques in collaborative improvisation with Claudio Lugo, theory and analysis of harmonic improvisation with Larry Monroe, and atonal composition and improvisation with George Garzone.
