Joel Grant Taylor

Joel Grant Taylor has been active as a composer/multi-instrumentalist in the experimental and free music scenes since 1975, in San Francisco, Portland, OR, and New York. He is a founding member of the Future Primitive Ensemble of San Francisco, a seminal new music ensemble of the mid-70s and early 80s. Since that time he has played in a variety of groups, including the Hawley Currens Ensemble (mid 80s in the Bay Area), and Nyquist (late 90s in New York). Joel plays using analog synthesizers and laptop, and the piano, and also plays the shakuhachi, a Japanese end-blown flute, and the suling, an Indonesian fipple flute

Susanna Borsch

Susanna Borsch was born in Hamburg, Germany, and studied recorder with Walter van Hauwe at the Amsterdam Conservatory where she completed her teaching and solo (masters) diplomas. Her final solo concert examination in the year 2000 featured several new works composed especially for her and the combination of recorder with live electronics. Her collaboration with composers on a new solo repertoire resulted in her first solo CD "off-limits" which received critical acclaim from all quarters when issued in 2006. A recorder virtuoso familiar with both contemporary and early music, Susanna Borsch is one of the few instrumentalists able to bridge both styles of music with complete ease

William C. Harrington was born in Yonkers, New York. His grandmother played piano at silent movie theaters: by the time he was a sophomore in high school, he was working as a professional musician playing parties, roller-skating rinks, and more. While at CSU Dominguez Hills he studied composition, performance, electronic music, and prepared piano techniques with Richard B. Evans, author of the classic book on John Cage, “The Well Prepared Piano.” He was also influenced by seminars with several composers including Nicholas Slominsky. After leaving college he worked in the wholesale record industry for two years (where he amassed a sizable collection of electronic and avant-garde recordings) before going on tour

Tim Gerwing was born in Canada, but experienced his childhood in Germany. Early lessons in classical piano gave way to experimentation with jazz, electronic, new age, progressive rock/pop, and Middle and Far Eastern musics. The purchase of his first synthesizer and electric guitar in the late 80's were turning points and very much shaped what was to become his signature sound. Summer of 2002 saw the release of Gerwing's first solo album, "B2B". The album received international radio airplay in Canada, Japan, Holland, Australia, Poland, Russia, and the USA. Music from BTB was recently featured on the Genie Award winning "Suzuki Speaks". Gerwing's 2nd major release, "The Butterfly Effect", is now available and receiving critical acclaim in Canada, Europe, Siberia, and Asia. Rob Mazurek

Rob Mazurek is a multidisciplinary artist/abstractivist, with a focus on electro-acoustic composition, improvisation, performance, painting, sculpture, video, film and installation, who spent much of his creative life in Chicago, and then Brazil. He currently lives and works in Marfa Texas with his wife Britt Mazurek. Mazurek was born in 1965 in Jersey City, New Jersey. In 1975 he moved with his family to a suburb of Chicago where he started playing cornet at the age of 10. A confrontation with the music of Sun Ra at the age of 16 at the Chicago Jazz Festival in 1981 had inspired Mazurek to want to become a serious composer performer
