Ross Kratter

Born:
Originally from New York and now residing in Orlando, Ross Kratter performs on double bass, electric bass, fretless bass, synth bass, and tuba, and also works as a composer and arranger. A bandleader since age 10 and performing professionally since age 14, he has performed with such luminaries as Joshua Redman, Jay Siegel's Tokens, Bob Franceschini, Bob Reynolds, Alex Sipiagin, Gil Goldstein, Badal Roy, Dave Pietro, Randy Johnston, Victor Wooten, the Gabriel Alegria Afro-Peruvian Sextet, and many more. He was the bass player on the First National Tour of Bandstand, the 2018 US and Canada tour of A Charlie Brown Christmas Live on Stage, and the 2016-2017 national tour of Fame the Musical. For six years he worked onboard cruise ships, and served as Musical Director and Bandleader for Cunard Line and P&O Cruises.

Bruno Migliari

I'm first and foremost a bassist - but one that also composes, arranges and occasionally sings. A Rio de Janeiro native musician with Italian roots, I'm active on the Jazz, Pop/Rock and World Music and scenes. Since 2001 I play bass and sing background vocals for brazilian popular singer/songwriter/guitarist Frejat. Since 2013 I accompany Brazilian singer Simone, and more recently, the world-wide known Brazilian singer/songwriter Ivan Lins. I have played live and/or recorded with many other well-known Brazilian artists, such as Ana Carolina, Maria Gadu, Milton Nascimento, Ney Matogrosso, Marcos Valle, Lobão, Paulinho Moska and Leoni - as well as artists from other countries, such as Lokua Kanza (Congo/France), Quexie Montana (Zimbabwe), Susanna Stivali (Italy) and Avi Wisnia (USA). On the jazz front, I lead my own Bicho Músico band (supporting my most recent album, "Bicho Músico") and the Notre Jam jazz quartet

Arturo Mora

Relocated to Copenhagen in late 2017, in his natal Madrid (Spain) he played in the house band of several jam sessions comprising more than 12 years of weekly stage routine. Arturo has played with the likes of Chema Saiz, Juan Camacho (CD La estrategia del tiempo, 2008; CD Artesanía popular, 2016), Sebastián Chames, Angel Rubio, and Inoidel González, as well as with various musicians from the American continent (Riner Scivally, Margaret Stowe, Virginia Ramírez, Brenda Hopkins, Paul Brewer, and Juliet Annerino, with whom he played in New York). He has also contributed original compositions for the jazz fusion band Tet-Quart (CD Silencio, 2010) and his Arturo Mora Group (EP Sign of the Future, 2014).

Marcos Milagres

His career as a performer on bass and Double Bass is complemented by other areas within the recording and music production. Composer and arranger, born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has developed through research and experimentation of the instrument, new ways and techniques of execution, which together with the influence of musical styles from Europe, Africa, North & Latin America; concur to enrich his music. In the scene, he has collaborated with great musicians of international stature such as Hermeto Paschoal, Greg Osby, Tom Coster, Paquito D’Rivera, Adam Rapa, Osmany Paredes, Jovino Santos Neto, Misha Piatigorsky, Robertinho di Paula and Henry Cole. He currently lives in Mexico City, where he has participated in a number of cultural events and festivals with important musicians of Mexican jazz scene such as Hector Infanzón, Cris Lobo, Chucho Lopez, Enrique Nery, João Henrique, Elizabeth Meza, Alex Mercado, Roberto “Betuco” Arballo, Victor Patron, to name a few. Marcos in now touring and promoting his new album "Feira" in several venues and festivals with his Trio being accompanied by the best musicians in Mexico City's jazz scene.

Mark Godfrey

Bassist Mark Godfrey is quickly becoming one of the new faces in Canadian jazz. Hailing from Southwestern Ontario and currently living in Toronto, he has established himself a mainstay in this national community and was named the 2019 Emerging Jazz Artist by the Toronto Arts Foundation. Composing and performing for many years with his contemporary jazz group, Pram Trio, Mark’s work as a co-leader, bassist, and composer has garnered international recognition. In 2014, this group was awarded the Grand Prix de Jazz from the Montreal Jazz Festival and has performed as a feature artist at jazz festivals across Canada including those in Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, and Rimouski. Following the release of Pram Trio’s most recent album in 2016, Mark began composing for five-piece jazz ensemble and in 2017 started the Mark Godfrey Quintet

Timo Metzemakers

Oliver Watkinson

Oliver Watkinson - Electric & Upright Bass. Born in Brunswick Maine, Oliver began studying music at the age of five. He attended college in Boston at the New England Conservatory, where he had the opportunity to study upright jazz bass and perform with greats such as Lee Konitz, Dave Holland, Jason Moran, Cecil McBee, and many more. In 2014, Oliver moved to New Orleans and began performing with BILLIE DAVIES in 2015, Gandhi Castle, Laelume, and various street bands. He has taught and performed all over the United States, as well as Central America and Canada.

Jeff Berlin

Jeff Berlin is a legend of the electric bass. Simply put, he is considered by many to be the finest electric bass player in the world. Surprisingly, he is a pioneer of slap bass when he brought this new percussive-style bass playing in 1979 to the second Bill Bruford album, "One of a Kind", on the tune called 5G. Jeff also pioneered two handed tapping when he performed this style on Motherlode from his 1985 release of his first solo album called "Champion". When these styles began to catch on with other bass players, Jeff stopped playing these styles.

Mai Leisz

Mai Leisz (pronounced Lease) is a bassplayer and composer from the shadowland of the North: post-soviet country, Estonia, where she was born and raised. In 2010 she made the move to Sweden where she honed her craft as an electric bass player and composer. She started gaining wider exposure with her own jazz- fusion group MaiGroup as well as freelancing with different jazz bands and pop artists. Her tireless work ethic, melodic bass playing and versatility has raised her name among the world’s top musicians. Mai is hailed as a music chameleon, moving effortlessly from pop, folk and country to jazz and blues. In June 2015 she had couple of days off touring and was busking in the old town Stockholm with a veteran singer-songwriter Doug Seegers, when one of her favorite musicians in the world, multi- instrumentalist Greg Leisz - on tour with Jackson Browne - happened to walk by
