Scott began working professionally during high school in the late 1970's, performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1978, and has been a popular drummer in the Austin, Texas music scene for 35 years. Today Scott is a core member of souljazz quintet Church on Monday, led by saxophonist Elias Haslanger every Monday night for four years running at the Continental Gallery in Austin, Texas. (Most recent group CD "Elias Haslanger: Live at The Gallery" received 4.5 stars in Downbeat Magazine. I offer private drum instruction on professional drum sets. I bring over forty-five years’ experience playing and recording in many different styles, and have been teaching for over thirty of those years. I am well-versed in contemporary and traditional styles of music, and have performed with various jazz, rock, R&B and fusion bands. I help my students explore the possibilities of the drum kit, encouraging experimentation while emphasizing the use of proper technique. Joe Falcey
Joe Falcey, a N.J. native, has been performing music in the U.S. and internationally for the last 20 years. He holds a degree in Music from Kean University where he studied performance, composition, and music education. He has also studied privately under master drummers Dave McGraw, Tony DeNicola (Harry James) Joe Morello (Dave Brubeck) and Ari Hoenig (Kenny Werner, Joe Lovano & Mike Stern). He has maintained busy performance schedule as both a leader and a sideman, along with a full time teaching schedule previously as half owner of Smith’s Music Studios. Kevin Raczka

Kevin Raczka was born on October 30th, 1978 in Buffalo NY into a musical family. Playing the Clarinet for years before concentrating on drums, Kevin found inspiration listening to the music of Michael Jackson, Earth Wind and Fire, Mozart, Saint-Saens, Public Enemy, Run DMC, The Jungle Brothers, and Fela Kuti. Moving downstate to attend SUNY Purchase college in 1999, Kevin continued to cultivate his craft while studying with musical masters including John Riley, Richie Morales and Kim Plainfield. Since then, he has performed and recorded with a multitude of musicians In NYC and has toured throughout the US, Canada, Africa, Europe, and South America. Evan Woodle

Drummer Evan Woodle has established himself as one of the Northwest’s preeminent creative musicians; his inimitably bombastic style and energetic performances behind the drum set have captivated audiences worldwide. Evan got his start in the internationally acclaimed Roosevelt High School jazz program in Seattle before going on to earn a Jazz Studies degree from the University of Washington.
Evan has performed and toured all over North America and Europe, playing everything from house shows to esteemed competitions and festivals.
In addition to functioning as a driving force behind several bands (including Heatwarmer, Karl Blau, Rae, and Hunter Gather), Evan maintains a private drum studio, works with local jazz institution Origin Arts, and is one of the co-founders and current organizers of the Racer Sessions, a bimonthly free-improvisation series and a forum for cutting-edge composers and performers. Other recent affiliated projects include Mali Obomsawin, I Am What I Am (led by Wayne Horvitz and featuring the music of John Zorn's Masada), and Figurine (with Cornish faculty member Ray Larsen and Seattle bass legend Jeff Johnson).

Born in Brasília, Brazil, Maurício de Souza is a professional jazz drummer who easily performs in both traditional jazz and Brazilian jazz styles. De Souza was a pupil of world renowned jazz drummer Joe Morello. Coming from a musical family, de Souza began playing drums at age eleven. His early interest in complex music led him to explore numerous styles ranging from progressive rock, to classical music, to jazz.
