Tilo Pirnbaum

Tilo has loved music for as long as he can remember and after 4 years of playing recorder started playing the drums at the age of 10. He later studied Jazz in Cologne/Germany and after moving to Liverpool became a graduate of the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA). There he quickly became a sought after drummer playing between 180 and 280 gigs per year. Highlights include recording and touring extensively in Europe playing the music of Frank Zappa with the Muffin Men (2000-2006), recording and touring in a collaboration with the Ensemble 10:10 and playing festivals like Glastonbury, the Isle of Wight festival and the V festival. Tilo also has recorded and/or performed with artists and bands as diverse as Jimmy Carl Black, Arthur Brown, Ike Willis, Napoleon Murphy Brook, Mike Keneally, John Head, Mickey Jones, Cushfoot, Beatlife, Mick Pini, The Grapes Band, Super Numeri, Benn Clatworthy, The Root Source and many others. He has performed and toured extensively in the UK and Europe but also performed and led percussion workshops in Africa and Asia. Tilo prefers to create original music and likes to play any style from Punk to Pop, Latin, Jazz or any other genre, as long as it comes from the heart and soul. Tilo has been teaching from the age of 16 and is the teacher for drum kit at the University of Liverpool since 2005.

Quincy Davis

Quincy Davis, born in Grand Rapids, MI, comes from a very musical family. He began taking drum lessons at age 6 and often would play with his brother Xavier Davis (piano) in their basement. In his elementary and middle school bands, he also played trumpet and tuba. His formal musical studies began during his 11th grade year at Interlochen Arts Academy (IAA). There he studied classical percussion as well as trap-­‐set drumming. IAA is where he received his first experience playing with a jazz band. IAA proved to be an important contribution to Davis’ future successes. In 1995, Davis graduated from IAA and began college at Western Michigan University

Jonathan Pinson

Jonathan Pinson began his love affair with the drum set at the age of two when he was surrounded by the music of his mother’s choir. His formal music training began at the age of six with instruction on the piano. Shortly after, Jonathan transitioned to the drum set at the Colburn School of Performing Arts and studied with Billy Higgins from The World Stage. While in high school, Jonathan performed professionally at various jazz clubs around the Los Angeles area. He also enjoyed mentoring young percussion enthusiasts and helped conduct jazz workshops for inner city youths at local public elementary schools, in high school as well as in college. During his senior year in high school, Jonathan won three major coveted awards, 1st place in the Music Center's Spotlight Award (2007), Performer of the Year at Alexander Hamilton High School and the Jimmy Lyon's Scholarship Award for a full tuition scholarship at the Berklee College of Music

Daniel Alejandro Siles Mendoza

Born:

From a very early age, Daniel was musically influenced by his parents. However, his formal musical education began at the age of 14, when he began taking private drum lessons with Berklee Alumni –and the most renowned drummer in Bolivia– Daniel Zegada. At the same time, he began playing at important music venues all over La Paz. Daniel co-founded ‘John Doe’ with his brother (Juan Pablo Siles) and recorded 2 albums at prestigious recording studios in his hometown (Cantus and Discolandia). One of these albums was nominated for the 2004 ‘RockandBol’ Awards held in La Paz

Rick Costa

A recent transplant from Boston Massachusetts, drummer/percussionist Rick Costa has quickly become a fixture in the Southwest Florida music scene. Graduating from the University of Rhode Island with a Masters of Music in Percussion, Costa can be seen performing weekly with local and international performers throughout the west coast of Florida. Costa was recently appointed to perform at the prestigious Fort Myers Repertoire Theater in December for an extended performance of "Tenderly," a musical tribute to the life and music of Rosemary Clooney. During the day, Costa is a general music teacher in Sarasota County.

Josh Feldstein

Verve Jazz Ensemble leader Josh Feldstein has been a jazz drummer for more than 30 years. The VJE's 5th album, "Connect The Dots," to be released in July 2018, features Josh Feldstein on drums supported by an expanded VJE septet and a front line of horns including trumpet, tenor, alto / flute, and trombone. A native New Yorker who grew up on the NYC jazz scene, Josh has studied with drum legends John Riley and Joe Morello. Josh formed the VJE in 2006 as a local jazz group in the Danbury, CT area. The straight-ahead jazz group – which paid homage to the legendary music of the famed Verve record label – soon took off with a large local following

Tina Raymond

Tina Raymond is a drummer based in Los Angeles, CA. Gary Fukushima writes in LA Weekly, “Musicians love her lithe brush and cymbal work, supported by an iron core of time and groove." A unique voice in the Los Angeles contemporary improvised music scene, Raymond blends traditional jazz vocabulary with African polyrhythm and classical percussion technique. She performs, adjudicates, and presents workshops world wide at venues, festivals, and conventions; and has shared the stage with many jazz luminaries including Bobby Bradford, Bennie Maupin, Emil Richards, Art Lande, and Vinny Golia. She can be heard on several original albums including Cathlene Pineda’s “A Weeks Time" (Orenda), Jon Armstrong’s “Burnt Hibiscus" (Orenda), The Harold Trio (Edgetone), and will be releasing a trio record with Putter Smith and Art Lande in Spring 2017 entitled “Left Right Left"
