Roxanne Jeppesen
Roxanne is a native of Northern California. She started her music journey on the flute in the 7th grade. Inspired by her middle school band director, she picked up the alto sax and the drum set in 8th grade. After graduating as Valedictorian in High School, she completed two years of an engineering degree at UC Davis. She changed majors, transferred to UCLA in 1999 and graduated with an Ethnomusicology degree in 2001. While working as the House Manager at UCLA's iconic concert venue, Royce Hall, she started her teaching career as a part-time music teacher and band coordinator for the Sulphur Springs Union School District in 2003

Ryan Shaw
Born:
Ryan Shaw began his musical pursuits at the age of five on piano. By age 8, he began studying with Steve Noyd on percussion. After getting his first drum set at the age of 10, he began playing at his church regularly while participating in his school’s Band and Jazz Band. Ryan then moved with his family to San Diego, California where he began attending Poway High School and participating in their Marching and Jazz Bands. He was also selected as the drummer for the SCSBOA Honor Jazz Band in 2013. Ryan is now pursuing his Jazz Studies degree at the University of Southern California, studying under Peter Erskine. Outside of school, Ryan performs regularly with Gilbert Castellanos and Joshua White, and has had the opportunity to perform with Bob Sheppard, Bob McChesney, Graham Dechter, Rob Lockhart, Joshua White, Holly Hofmann, Mike Wofford and more

Randy Kaye

Born on May 20, 1947 in Brooklyn, N.Y.,Randy grew up in a household where music was a part of life.The son of Alan Kaye, a saxophone player in many big bands and his mother Leona was also a jazz singer. Randy took uo the saxophone at a young age. When young Randy was sick with rheumatic fever Rhis father bought him a set of drums and he never looked back. Randy attended schools in Brooklyn and was a golden glove boxer,played baseball and ran track. Kaye was asked to cut his hair in high school and when he refused he was expelled. Mr. Kaye,a lifelong musician began playing professionally when he was only 15 years old! He started sitting in with players like Kenny Dorham and Roland Kirk and even sat in with Duke Ellington once

Dominic Fragman
Born:
Dominic Fragman is a percussionist and perpetual student of the arts based in New York City. He has studied drumming and composition under master drummer, Paul F. Murphy and iconic pianist, Dr. Cecil Taylor. Fragman was involved in the production of Murphy's latest album with pianist Larry Willis, Foundations. He also authored an entry on Murphy for the 2013 edition of Oxford University Press's Grove Dictionary of American Music. He is currently performing and touring with Sony/Okeh saxophonist, James Brandon Lewis. He is a Regal Tip Calato artist and has performed at the Jazz and Wine of Peace Festival, Salerno Jazz Festival, So What's Next Festival, Madrid Jazz Festival and the Jamboree Jazz Club Festival.

Al Ferrante

Al Ferrante, is known as "Father Al", Leader of Father Al and The Jazz Congregation, a South West Florida Jazz Quartet. At age 10 Father Al Studied Drums and Percussion at the Gene Krupa, Cozy Cole Drum School, Manhattan, New York. His instructors were Cozy Cole and Billy Higgins. At age 12, He attended the University of Rhode Island Summer Music Camp studying, Theory, Composition, Ear Training, Jazz Theory, Jazz Band, and Concert Orchestra. The New York Years: At age 17, American Federation of Musicians, Local 802, New York City Caberet License. Performed with, backed up, or opened for such notables as Jay and the Americans, Little Eva, the Shirelles, the Ronettes, Dion and the Belmonts, and was the house drummer for the Alan Freed Rock and Roll Shows at the Brooklyn Paramount and Albemarle Theatres
