Erkan Sonmez

Istanbul-based drummer and composer Erkan Sönmez started playing drums in his childhood. He successfully graduaded from the percussion (drums) department of Modern Music Academy and completed the 'CRR Jazz Composition Academy' program. For many years, he shared the stage with master artists and groups of classical, pop and jazz genres such as Enbe Orchestra, Levent Yüksel, Serdar Öztop, Erdem Sökmen, Güç Başar Gülle. Between 2015 and 2020, he played drums and percussion in Erdem Sökmen Quartet and Quintet projects. While he continues to actively play with Cem Çatık Trio; He released his first album, which he calls 'Habitat', consisting entirely of his own compositions and arrangements, in 2024.

Bill Harris is a drummer, composer, improviser, and audio engineer from Pittsburgh currently located in Chicago. Starting private drum and percussion studies at age eight, Bill embarked on a lifelong journey of musical education that continues to this day. Playing in various rock, funk, and jazz groups at clubs and concert venues throughout his early years, he eventually relocated to Chicago. In 2014, he started the trio Four Letter Words, with pianist Matt Piet and saxophonist Jake Wark, who play primarily original compositions centered around group improvisation. For over 35 years Curt has been developing his drumming and musician skills, playing everything from Lounge work playing standards to country rock. His mother is an organist/pianist where she played at his grandfather's and now currently his father's church in Little Rock & North Little Rock, AR. Up on graduating from high school in 2003, he received a full jazz scholarship to The University of Memphis in Memphis, TN.
