Dag Magnus Narvesen is a drummer, percussionist and composer who is mainly working in the fields of free jazz, improvised and contemporary music. 

Emerging from the diverse and renowned jazz scene of Norway, leading bands like Sasquatch, co-leading Kitchen Orchestra and as a member of Gunhild Seim's Time Jungle, his current musical endeavors feature his highly acclaimed octet DAMANA, Schlippenbach/Narvesen Duo, Dag Magnus Narvesen kvintett, (the new) Schlippenbach Trio, Harri Sjöström's MOVE quintet and Up and Out, Didrik Ingvaldsen Orchestra and Aki Takase's Japanic, to name a few. In working with these and other bands, especially some tied to the Berlin scene, he has acquired a reputation as a highly skilled drummer and a trusted musical collaborator.

David Ellington grew up in Connecticut, moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music before moving to New Orleans in 1983. After immersing himself in the extraordinary music scene in New Orleans, David moved to Atlanta in 2005 where he shortly met drummer Chris Burroughs. Drummer/percussionist Chris Burroughs was raised in Rockford, Illinois and began playing at the early age of four. During his teenage years, Chris moved to Atlanta, GA to begin his professional career. Chris has performed throughout the United States, Europe, Japan, and Australia and has shared the stage with artists like Dee Dee Bridgewater, Carmen Bradford, Jennifer Holiday, Russell Gunn, Chris Duarte and more… Collectively their musical experiences and special artistic chemistry, make for an exciting elevated musical duo, known as Duo Elevation.

Mason Andruskiewicz

After taking snare drum lessons as a kid, Mason renewed his passion for drumming while studying biomedical engineering at WPI in Worcester, Massachusetts. Soon after graduating, he found himself playing jazz gigs in Worcester and Boston. He began studying jazz drums with Dan MacDonald at Music Maker Studios in Brighton, MA. Mason takes inspiration from many great drummers across different genres of music. Some of his favorites are Steve Gadd, Idris Muhammad, and John Bonham.

Thomas Wendt has been playing the drums professionally since the age of 14. A graduate of The Pittsburgh High School for the Creative and Performing Arts, he has studied with master drummers Roger Humphries, Joe Harris, and Kenny Washington. Thomas maintains a busy freelancing schedule with Pittsburgh’s top jazz artists such as Dwayne Dolphin, Joe Negri, Sean Jones, David Budway, Kenia, the Latin jazz group, Salsamba, and the newly re-formed Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra. Sasha Mashin

Born:

Sasha Mashin was born in 1976 in St. Petersburg, Russia. In 1991 he joined the Kvadrat jazz-club where he met many jazz musicians of St. Petersburg.After studying for two months at the Musorgsky Music University, he decided to start his professional career as an artist and quit the university.

In 1998 moved to Moscow where he kept busy collaborating with some of Russia’s best jazz musicians.

In 2005 Sasha Mashin participated in the educational program Open World Program USA in New York and played with such legends as Clark Terry, Kenny Barron and Jimmy Heathat the Blue Note Jazz Club.
