Jean-marie Corrois

Born: June 16, 1961

Jean-marie Corrois, drummer. Jean-marie started his career in the city of Tours (France) where he performed with the funk African band “Trans African Express” touring in the south of France for the national radio station “Radio Monte Carlo”. Later he joined the Brazilian band Saravah and played all over the country. In 1985, he moved to Paris to attend the jazz school CIM where he met and performed with jazz musicians. In the same year he joined the compositors Claire Laronde and Nicolas Brasart for three years of concerts in jazz clubs and festivals, meanwhile, he was very active in Paris musical scene as a drummer, performing TV showcases for national artists and recording sessions for singers and instrumentalists. For the last four years of his career, in France, he was the show band drummer for the singer Ilene Barnes and working for Disneyland Paris at the New York and New Port Hotels. In 2000, he relocated the United States, joining the Carnival Cruise Ship Show Band as the Big Band and Production Band’s drummer. In 2001, he started to work in South Florida for Bobby Raminez’s Latin-Jazz band, multiplying private and corporate performances as well as the Moca Jazz Festival and the Fort Lauderdale Jazz festival

Born: September 24, 1978

Devin Kelly is a freelance percussionist based in Buffalo, New York. A native of Ithaca, New York and graduate of the Eastman School of Music, Mr. Kelly has shared the stage with Clark Terry, Bob Brookmeyer, Barry Harris, Gary Foster, Bob Sheppard, Bill Cunliffe, Bobby Militello, Peter Bernstein, Larry Koonse, Mark Soskin, Stacy Rowles, Sam Most, John Campbell, Julie Kelly, Judy Wexler and many other jazz luminaries. Notable performance venues include The Blue Note NYC, Chris' Jazz Cafe in Philadelphia, Lighthouse Cafe in Hermosa Beach, as well as the Rochester, San Jose, Lewiston and Dubai Jazz Festivals

Jeffrey Jones

Born: August 19, 1978

I was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma and I have lived here all of my life. I am married and have two wonderful daughters. I have studied with several phenomenal drum instructors and now I give drum lessons. I went to college at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah OK, and graduated with a BBA- Marketing and a minor in music performance. My Band's name is Primal Swing. Patricia Dean

Patricia Dean and the legendary Grady Tate are among the few artists in the history of Jazz who play drums and sing, and who do both at an exceptional level. There's probably a reason for the scarcity of Jazz drummers who sing, perhaps because it takes a lifetime to master just one of those arts, but the fact is, as listeners will hear on this superb recording, Patricia Dean is no mere "singing drummer" or "drumming singer." As a drummer, she's an inspiring and supremely tasteful time-keeper, accompanist and soloist. As a Jazz vocalist, Dean is swinging, sensitive, and, quite simply, just wonderfully musical. This Tampa, Florida, native was literally and figuratively surrounded by music while growing up

Dennis Wilson (Beach Boy)

Born: December 4, 1944

Dennis Carl Wilson was an American rock and roll musician best known as a founding member and the drummer of The Beach Boys. He was a member of the group from its formation until his death in 1983, though he was often supplemented in the studio by session drummers, and on stage by a backup drummer. Born in Hawthorne, California, the second son of Murry and Audree Wilson. He was only sixteen when the Beach Boys were formed; the group consisted of Wilson brothers Brian, Dennis, and Carl, cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine. Handsome, rebellious Dennis, who was often the object of Murry's harsh temper, spent much of his life chasing girls and getting into trouble of one kind or another. His relationships with women tended to be passionate and tumultuous; he had just divorced his second wife before he and Christine McVie fell wildly for each other in 1979 while Fleetwood Mac was making the Tusk album.

Isaac Wiley

Born: September 14, 1953

GRAMMY AWARD winner Ike Wiley is one of the co-founders of the DAZZ BAND, which he and his brother Michael (bass player) helped build from the ground up. The group recorded nine albums toured in the 70's& 80's and performed before millions in the United States and abroad. After the Dazz Band, Ike played and recorded with NAJEE' (Share My World), toured the states and abroad (check out 90-95 in the video section), then went on to play with great jazz bassist Stanley Clarke (check out 95-02 in the video section). During his career, Ike has played all of the major theaters, stadiums, jazz fests and jazz clubs in the world and has shared the stage with some of the industry's top artists

Steve Pemberton

Jazz drummer/percussionist Steve Pemberton has gained an international reputation as an incredibly versatile and sensitive musician. Looking at his background, it becomes obvious that he is constantly reinventing himself, refusing to be pigeonholed as a single-faceted artist. Graduating Summa Cum Laude from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, he then began a world-hopping career, performing in concert and on television throughout Europe, North & South America and Asia. Most recently Steve held the position as jazz drumset specialist & utility percussionist with the prestigious Boston Pops Orchestra, and can still be seen on many of their A&E and PBS "Evening at Pops" TV broadcast reruns, some under the baton of film composer and conductor John Williams
