Ron LeGault

Born: October 3, 1943

Pianist Ron LeGault is versatile and accomplished, performing in a variety of settings, including ensembles, solo, big band and accompanying vocalists.. He has a style that’s a bit of funk, some Harlem Stride, a touch of George Shearing, with a nod to the be-boppers. Featured compositions are from Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, Duke Ellington, other composers from the Great American songbook, as well as select jazz standards.

Janine Gastineau

Multi-genre vocalist Janine Gastineau appears frequently throughout the Denver metro area, singing jazz standards & show tunes, performing Brazilian bossa nova & samba in Portuguese, and chanson in French – all with her acclaimed Rhythm ensemble. She’s also written and performed several evening-length musical revues focusing on, among others, the music of Stephen Sondheim, the songwriting team of Richard Rodgers & Lorenz Hart, and a tribute of song and story for her idol Joni Mitchell. Janine released her first solo jazz album, ALL MY WILDEST DREAMS, in 2015. She is currently earning her Masters degree in Jazz Performance at the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music.

Darren Rahn

Jeff Miguel

Born: February 7, 1990

Jeff Miguel is a saxophonist that currently teaches and performs in the Denver metro area. He received his Master of Arts Degree in Music – Emphasis in Jazz Studies from the University of Iowa and won the 2016 Downbeat Graduate Student Music Award for Best Blues/Pop/Rock Soloist. All About Jazz describes him as an “expressive” saxophonist, “like a seasoned veteran poised to establish himself as musician of note.”

In May of 2015, Miguel released, as a leader, his “auspicious debut” (Midwest Record), Perseverance. The album features all original compositions of a variety of styles and influences

the Azucartones

The DownBeat Award winning Azucartones is part of the Commercial Music Program at the Kent Denver School in Englewood, CO. The program focuses on styles of music not traditionally taught at the secondary level including R&B, salsa, jazz, soul, pop, and Afro-Cuban. In 2014, the Azucartones were recognized by DownBeat Magazine as the best high school Latin band in the country. They typically play 10-15 gigs each year throughout Colorado, and have performed in San Diego, New Orleans, and Miami. In 2014, the band invited to perform in Havana, Cuba, where they were able to attend a concert at the Karl Marx Theatre with member of the original Buena Vista Social Club

Paul Zaborac

Born: October 5, 1987

Paul Zaborac is a versatile saxophonist, composer, and educator. Originally from the Des Moines, Iowa area, he seeks to explore and push the musical boundaries of the saxophone through performance and composition, and to share this knowledge through teaching. Well versed in both classical and jazz saxophone, Paul brings a unique and diverse set of skills to his performances on the instrument. This unique combination of skills is displayed in the original compositions on his debut album Actualize (2012) where he explores how the saxophone can be used as an accompaniment instrument in improvised music

Paa Kow

Paa Kow is an internationally renowned artist, drum set player, composer, and producer. Growing up in the small village of Enyan Denkyira near Cape Coast in Ghana, West Africa, Paa Kow began to play music and tour with his family’s concert band at a very early age.  He has since grown to be widely recognized as one of the most remarkable drum set players to tour in Africa, Europe, and America. Eric Roberts

ERIC ROBERTS is an accomplished guitarist and bassist as well as composer, and has been playing professionally since the age of 16. He holds a B.A. in Music from Ithaca College and a Master’s in Music from the University of Miami. He has enjoyed a successful career playing in Broadway shows, backing up name entertainers such as Chuck Berry, The Fifth Dimension, The Drifters, Bob Hope, Joan Rivers, Anthony Newley, Maureen McGovern, Chita Rivera, the Smothers Brothers, Chubby Checker, Bobby Rydell, Danny Ganz, recording with the Orchestre Suisse Romande, performing solo guitar concerts, giving music workshops, and providing music for every type of occasion
