Erling Kroner

ERLING KRONER A Condensed Biography Erling Kroner, born April 16, 1943 in Copenhagen, Denmark, started playing the trombone in 1959 with various Dixieland bands. Went to Germany 1961 with Danish Trad Band Dixieland Stompers and again 1962 playing with Jack Duff's Jazztet and Ken Sims' Vintage Jazzband. The former including the late Danish trumpet ace Per Ringkjøbing Hansen, piano player the late Alex Shaw and the young bassist Ronnie Matthewson. Participated the European avant garde movement of the early- to mid sixties, performing with a.o. John Tchicai and Rosswell Rudd. 1966-67 toured Denmark with Melvis & his Gentlemen until the Fall of 1967 when he founded his first Erling Kroner Quintet

Richard Andersson

Richard Andersson (b. Oct. 1982) is a Danish/Faroese/Icelandic bass player and composer based in Copenhagen where he is known as “one of the most interesting characters of the Danish jazz scene” (Ivan Rod/Gaffa Music Magazine.). Andersson grew up in a musical family but never showed much interest in music until the age of 14 when his life was turned upside down after a fireworks accident that cost him his sight. Now, around 20 years later, Richard Andersson has gained great recognition for his work as a composer and bass player in the modern jazz field. He has released several albums as a bandleader with Danish and international musicians such as Oskar Gudjonsson (IS), Rudi Mahall (DE), Kasper Tranberg (DK), Jerry Bergonzi (US), Ra-Kalam Bob Moses (US), Tony Malaby (US) and Bill McHenry (US). Rasmus Kjaer

Rasmus Kjær Larsen (b.1982) is a pianist, composer and performer based in Copenhagen. He has collaborated with some of the most intriguing acts on the underground scene in Denmark and he has released several albums of his own. With the acclaimed collective Under Byen (2007-2009) Rasmus toured across Europe and North America concurrently starting to write music for his own projects. In 2012 he released his debut as a bandleader: The trio jazz album ‘Broken Bow’ with drummer Kresten Osgood and bassist Jonas Westergaard. In 2016 he released his solo album ‘Orgelimprovisationer’ and in 2019 his keyboard album ‘Turist’.

Henrik (Thor Oscar) Olsson is a swedish guitarist and composer, based in Copenhagen. He is taking the sonic expression of the electric guitar into new, unpredictable domains through unheard timbres and textures, often with the help of various preparations and unconventional playing techniques.
