VINCENT HECKARD is a percussionist and drummer specializing in World and Latin Percussion. For more than 20 years, Vincent has brought his flare and exuberance to performances and recordings with distinguished bands, entertainment companies, and solo artists. His wide-ranging musical experience includes forays into Brazilian and second line music, as well as jazz, funk, pop, bluegrass, West African, and hip hop styles. Vincent was trained by Master Percussionist Ron Powell and instructed by Jose Luis "Changuito" Quintana, Jesus Diaz, Michael Spiro, Robertito Melendez, Troy Parker, and the late Malonga Casquelourd. Over the past few years, Vincent has recorded with rising stars 8th Day on their album Hooleh, Grammy-nominee Kelly Chapman, Los Angeles jazz ensemble Nostatic Trio, and several other respected players in the Los Angeles area

Hamid Cooper

Born Hamid Mottaghinejad in 1959 in Tehran, Iran, Hamid discovered a love for Jazz at an early age by listening to his father’s collection of Afro-Cuban inspired Jazz records. As a teen, Hamid was taught to play the drums (Persian and Congas) by his father, an accomplished percussionist. In his early twenties he moved to Denmark, Scandinavia where he continued exploration of the arts. A gifted artist, Hamid’s insightful paintings, sold in prominent galleries throughout Denmark. Trained by his father Charlie (Chaaliy) Capodici from a very early age Bernie got to cut his teeth in popular club bands in Wildwood, NJ and on the Philly scene at the tail end of the 60’s.. Capodici’s formal education started at the University Of Utah where he began studying percussion and delved into the world of Latin Percussion. Alex Diaz

Born in Bani, Dominican Republic, Alex Diaz began playing music at an early age. At age 10 he enrolled at Jose Reyes Music School in his hometown. Soon he was lead snare drum in his town’s Municipal Band under Professor Amable Botello. A couple of years later he found himself performing with local bands such as Nina El Gago, Yeyen y su Bajo, Los Antillanos del Sabor, among other popular bands of the region. At age 16 he joined the group Los Juveniles del Sabor, whose lead vocalists were Ruby Perez and Aramis Camilo, considered among the best in the country. He continued to perform with local acts such as Julita del Rio and Sonido Latino. In 1980 a young Alex relocated to New York City to try out the scene
