Mixed in liberally throughout his extensive experience, is 15+ plus years as a consummate set drummer that started at Philly’s school of rock playing to enthusiastic crowds at some of Philly’s hottest venues, and culminating in a tour of Germany with performances at Zapannelle–the worldwide Frank Zappa tribute festival.

Bob Boguslaw and The Way
The Way has been performing together in one form or another since 1995. The group has received critical acclaim from Jazz Times, All About Jazz and Beyond Coltrane for their Summit Records CDs, The Way and Gabrielle’s Hand. They have performed numerous times at the Kennedy Center, the Corcoran Gallery of Art and at Blues Alley. Musically, the group combines elements of Latin jazz, contemporary jazz, and some aspects of classical structure with lots of original compositions, as well as some re-workings of standards and pop tunes. The group consists of Bob Boguslaw (piano), Frank Russo (drums), Pete Barenbregge (saxophones), Aaron Clay (acoustic bass), and Chris Rose (percussion)

I play soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophones, piccolo, flute, alto flute, clarinet and bass clarinet. I studied saxophone and clarinet primarily with Harold Karabell and flute with Adeline Tomasone. In 1983 I received a Bachelor of Music from Philadelphia College of the Performing Arts. I also studied improvisation - primarily with Brian Trainor, a few months with Dennis Sandole and a couple of lessons with Phil Woods. Professionally I’ve played in a wide variety of situations including small jazz groups, big bands, commercial bands in clubs and at society parties, pit orchestras and recording sessions

Josh Sheiman

Josh Sheiman’s musical journey began while living overseas in the Netherlands. He received a guitar at age 12 and was immediately drawn to the instrument. Inspired by guitar legends such as Jimmy Page and Jimmy Hendrix, Josh looked to gain a combination of virtuosity and creativity. Upon moving back to Houston, Josh began studying with John Edward Ross. His interest in improvisation led him to a love and appreciation for jazz. While in high school, he won “Excellence in the Study of Music” award at Episcopal High School as well as the “Duke Ellington” award at the Summer Jazz Workshop. After being accepted to many of the top music schools in the nation, Josh chose to pursue an undergraduate degree in jazz guitar at the University of Miami

Gorm Askjær
Born:
Gorm Askjær is a guitarist and composer living in Aarhus, Denmark. He has a background in jazz and improvised music, but is currently working with both classically trained as well as improvising musicians, trying not to get to much caught up in speculations about genres.
His music is adventourous and creates many different soundworlds, while maintaining a personal focus and tone. Compositions are written both for his own bands or individual projects, as well as comissions from others.
Current bands include Gorm Askjær Trio and Gorm Askjær Secret Safari.
Besides his own music Gorm is also teaching and is involved in different kinds of cultural and artistic projects, arranging concerts etc.

Mike Caudill

Mike Caudill is a Boston-based performer, composer, arranger, and educator. A member of several projects and collectives performing across New England and New York, Mike leads his own quartet, plays saxophone and EWI in the jazz-fusion group, City of Four, and performs with Felipe Salles’ Interconnections Ensemble. Mike has played in historic venues, including Boston’s Symphony Hall, and esteemed NYC jazz venues like Birdland, Dizzy’s Club, The Jazz Gallery, and The National Sawdust Theater. Mike has had the opportunity to perform on stage with iconic jazz figures like Sean Jones, Warren Wolf, Ambrose Akinmusire, Randy Brecker, Dick Oatts, Dave Liebman, Sheila Jordan, Chico Pinheiro and Karrin Allyson as a student
