Brad Bolton

Brad Bolton is a guitarist and bassist of many hats. He’s enjoyed playing the blues with Wanda Hunt, swing with The Swing Machine, jazz in Cleveland and Akron jazz clubs, and shows with Helen Welch. He’s been on stage with the Diamonds, the Drifters, and The Ink Spots, as well as in orchestras at the Carousel, Coliseum and Front Row Theater. Top Cleveland private party bands Special Request and The Art Company have also benefited from Brad’s guitar for many years, as has the area’s best Zydeco band, Zydeco Jones. Recently he has been accompanying Helen Welch at her shows.

Christopher Hovan

A respected photographer, journalist, and musician, Chris Hovan has been involved with music since starting piano lessons at the tender young age of five. Adding clarinet to his studies while in middle school, Hovan ultimately devoted his full attention to drums and percussion while a freshman in high school. He attended the prestigious music conservatory at Baldwin-Wallace College where he studied classical percussion with George Kiteley. It was at this time that he began expanding his sphere of influence by studying Latin and Brazilian percussion styles and collecting instruments. The life of Jimmy Scott is not one of meteoric stardom but a journey that has taken nearly seventy years to find its much deserved success. One of ten children, James Victor Scott was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 17, 1925. The f irst time Jimmy sang on a public stage was at school when the teacher had him sing the lead in a play "Ferdinand the Bull", after that she always had him do the leads. He was only 12 years old when he became known as a singer around Cleveland. While in his teens a Comedian saw the potential in Jimmy, he was Tim McCoy from Akron. Whenever Tim got a "gig" around Northeast Ohio, he would take Jimmy along with him on the bill
