Christoph Grab

Christoph Grab, born in 1967, saxophone player, composer Christoph Grab's musical education started out with seven years of classical saxophone lessons before attending the Swiss Jazz School in Bern, graduating in saxophone, composition and arrangement. Among his teachers and mentors are Andy Scherrer, Sal Nistico, Jerry Bergonzi, Joe Lovano and Dave Liebman. In 1992 he won the scholarship for young soloists offered by the Friedel Wald Foundation in Basel in a national contest. Scores of recordings for radio and television broadcasts have followed since, as well as countless tours and concerts in Switzerland, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Russia, Lithuania, Egypt and Turkey
