Christian Marien

Christian Marien (* 1975, Münster, Germany) studied music in Amsterdam and Berlin where he has resided since 2000. He is an active member of the Berlin jazz and improvised music scene, co-leading collaborative projects including Superimpose (Matthias Müller), I Am Three (Silke Eberhard, Nikolaus Neuser), Insomnia Brass Band (Almut Schlichting, Anke Lucks) and C’mon C’mon (Jasper Stadhouders). In 2022 he starts the „Christian Marien Quartett” (Tobias Delius, Jasper Stadhouders, Antonio Borghini), the first ensemble under his name. Christian recently worked on solo ideas, in 2022 his first Solo CD was released on „MarMade Records” a new label founded by Christian
