Jim Gailloreto

Born: July 22, 1960

Jim Gailloreto is an accomplished jazz saxophonist and composer. His jazz style is rooted in a modern post-bop approach.

As a freelance musician he has performed with the Chicago Jazz Ensemble, Chicago Chamber Musicians, Fulcrum Point, Chroma Chamber Orchestra & Chicago Opera Theater. He performed a Chicago premier of Marc Anthony Turnage's “Scorched” with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra featuring John Scofield, John Patitucci, and Peter Erskin. He also performed with New York composer/pianist Fred Hersch for a Chicago premier of "Leaves of Grass".

Carl Kennedy is a Chicago-based pianist and composer who has built a diverse musical career crossing between jazz, soul, fusion, folk and classical traditions. Drawing from his well-rounded skill set, Carl is sought-after for his emotionally expressive playing and original compositions. He has played venues all over the country including the John F. Kennedy Center for The Performing Arts, The Millennium Park Jay Pritzker Pavilion, South By Southwest Music Festival, Summerfest, and countless others. Chicago native Carolyn Fitzhugh affectionately named “Songbird” by her adoring fans is a timeless song stylist who possesses the grace, elegance, and improvisational skills of the legends of yesteryear while capturing the attention and affection of all ages. Carolyn’s childhood home was filled with the music of a diverse assortment of music greats from Miles Davis, Oscar Peterson, John Coltrane and Ella Fitzgerald to Morgana King and Sarah Vaughn to Minnie Ripperton, Ray Charles and Earth, Wind & Fire! Linda Solotaire is a jazz vocalist and the leader of the Linda Solotaire Quartet. She also performs repertoire with her musical partner, arranger/guitarist & bassist Stu Greenspan, a jazz duo with Saalik Ziyad and more.. Linda is classically trained in music and theatre, and began her career as an actress in the late 1970s. As a solo jazz vocalist, she is most deeply influenced by Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Abbey Lincoln, Sheila Jordan, and Judy Garland. While the Great American Songbook is at the heart of her repertoire, she strives to infuse her sets with more obscure, contemporary and original songs.
