Since the age of three, Charles Platt Jr. has had a love for music. Music flows through
his veins, as he comes from a talented family full of singers and musicians.
Charles' father was a talented lead guitar player whom he deeply admired. At the age
of 11, Charles desired to follow in his father’s footsteps. He gained an interest in
becoming a musician and quickly took a liking to the bass. Within a few weeks of
owning a bass, he was able to play effectively behind other musicians as they
instructed. Charles soon began studying artists, such as Fred Hammond and Stanley
Clarke, and his mind was forever changed about this multifaceted instrument
