Born in Moscow, Russia, Lena Bloch immigrated to Israel and moved to Europe in 1990, where she became a part of the European jazz scene (Germany and Holland) for 12 years, finally came to the United States, earning Master’s Degree in Composition and moved to Brooklyn, NY in 2008, where she quickly became a contributor to one of the most fertile and interesting jazz scenes of recent memory.

After a few years of public school, Joseph noticed that he would be routinely pulled out of class to provide music for rehearsals and assemblies. Who wouldn’t milk that for all it’s worth? By the time he finished elementary school, Joseph played cello in the orchestra, trumpet in the band and he sang in the choir. In middle school, he began to notice the difference between the sound of a piano playing music and an orchestra playing the same music
