Brandon Bernstein

Brandon Bernstein began studying guitar at age 14. At 18, he discovered his passion for jazz and improvised music while attending Berklee College of Music. After a semester of study, Brandon ventured to Montreal, Canada where he studied jazz for the next four years. He received a BA in Jazz Performance from Concordia University in 2003. Following his studies at Concordia, Brandon was awarded a full scholarship as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Louisville where he completed his Master’s degree in Jazz Performance in 2005. Currently, Brandon is a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Southern California where he is pursuing his DMA in Studio/Jazz Guitar and plans to graduate in the fall of 2008. Most recently, Brandon co-authored a book for Mel Bay Publishing Company on the guitar style of modern jazz guitarist, Kurt Rosenwinkel
