Born:

Born in Brooklyn, NY, 1934. Studied with jazz great Teddy Wilson. Played with jazz groups around New York City until moving to Los Angeles in 1960. Did studio work as pianist, arranger and conductor through 1993. Played on ABC Orchestra 1964-1970, then NBC Orchestra thereafter. Was alternate pianist on "The Tonight Show" with Doc Sevrinsen's band 1974-1983, as well as arranger/conductor/music supervisor on Bob Hope's TV specials through 1992. Was orchestra leader on "Name That Tune" for 167 shows, both syndicated and on NBC mornings. Retired to Hilton Head, SC in 1993 and resumed career as jazz pianist.Early work included the big bands of Charlie Spivak, Jerry Gray, Louis Prima, Buddy Morrow, Les Brown
