The OGeeZ

Born: March 4, 1954

Over the years neither L.J. Witter nor Steve Gerick realized that the other had musical ‘chops’ since they rarely discussed it. It wasn’t until Steve mentioned he played ‘some guitar’ and L.J. said “Hey, I sing a little” that a seed was planted that has grown into a fervent collaboration that has lasted more than a decade. In 2008, Steve and L.J. decided to create music together and produced their first studio album. The fact that both Gerick and Witter were well past middle-age, deciding on a name for the band was more of a problem than actually creating music. They settled on The OGeeZ, which in modern parlance could mean Original Gangsters, Old Geezers, etc

The Gardenia Society

The Gardenia Society is the social outreach of The Billie Holiday Memorial Foundation. Our mission is to support jazz / blues / folk artists to continue performing this unique American art form. Leonie Evans

Born: June 10, 1988

Leonie Evans has been performing since the age of 5 and has never stopped. As well as her own music she plays Jazz, Blues, Country, Gospel and music from Latin America. She's played and sat in on vocals, guitar or washboard with the likes of Tuba Skinny, C.W. Stoneking, Frog & Henry, Honky Tonk Sail, Blue Mockingbirds, Ragtime Nightmare, Old Fish Jazz Band, Sam Doores and many more.

Chris Buono

Born: June 5, 1972

Chris Buono makes music with a guitar and lots of pedals. As a leader Chris heads the genre-bending organ trio cB3 featuring Ben Stivers and Tobias Ralph. As a sideman and/or guest soloist Chris Buono has performed and/or recorded with Dweezil Zappa, Snarky Puppy, Bumblefoot, Karsh Kale, Graham Haynes, David Fiuczynski, Oz Noy, Keith Carlock, Rodney Holmes, Steve Jenkins, Tony Grey, Dave Martone, Sophia Ramos, Dopapod, Consider the Source, Kung Fu, JAZZ IS PHSH, James Chance & The Contortions and many more.

As an educator Chris has taught guitarists from all over the world through Berklee College of Music, TrueFire, Guitar Player, Guitar One, Just Jazz Guitar, Hal Leonard, Alfred, Course Technology & Guitarinstructor.com among others. Chris Buono is responsible for 40 TrueFire courses including the celebrated Guitar Gym series, eight instructional books on guitar and music technology and nearly 50 guitar magazine articles.

Zeeteah Massiah

Born: December 24, 1956

Zeeteah Massiah is a singer. She was born in Barbados and grew up in the UK. She had a No. 1 dance hit in the US and has sung and toured with artists like Tom Jones, Michael Jackson, Robbie Williams, Sting, Paul Weller and Johnny Hallyday.

She has since recorded three albums with producer husband Paul Caplin.

Zeeteah and Paul are about to release their first album as a duo: Caplin & Massiah. Paul was the song writing member of 80s rebel popsters Haysi Fantayzee.

Caplin & Massiah love playing around with different genres like afrobeats, electronic pop, dancehall, reggae and disco. 

Ben Bierman

Born: March 15, 1954

Ben Bierman is a Brooklyn-based trumpet player, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. In his compositions he incorporates elements of jazz, blues, Latin music, and the Western art music tradition. His music can be heard on Some Takes On the Blues (Plaza Street Music PSM 101, 2019) and on Beyond Romance: Songs by Ben Bierman (New Focus Recordings FCR 141, 2013). As a trumpet player, Ben has performed with a wide array of artists, including Johnny Copeland, B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Johnny Pacheco, Machito, Johnny Colon, Archie Shepp, and Arthur Blythe. He is the author of Listening to Jazz (Oxford University Press), has essays in numerous books and journals, and is an Associate Professor at John Jay College, City University of New York

Marcel P Blanchet

Born: February 28, 1958

Recording Artist, Composer, Producer, Arranger, Drummer, Musical Product Endorser and Motivational Speaker. Marcel is a Touring Drummer for traveling shows and his own project "Beyond the Sun" A session musician for countless radio and TV commercials also keeps him busy. Marcel has provided motivational keynote speeches and business entertainment through his drumming skills motivating his audiences in goal achieving while striving for greater goal accomplishments. Joseph de Dominicis

Joseph de Dominicis, ‘Joe D’, is a composer and acoustic guitarist. He performs his music on a seven steel-string archtop guitar. He is a native New Yorker. His first album, ‘Joseph de Dominicis Songs: Volume One’ with vocals and piano by Gloria Cooper was released on the label Carol MRP Co. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in General Music and he earned a Master of Arts Degree in Music Composition from the City University of New York at Hunter College in 1995, studying with Edward Knight and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Melinda Wagner. Roger Aldridge

Born in 1946 in Kansas City, MO, Roger Aldridge discovered jazz as a child thanks to his mother’s collection of big band recordings. Roger started on alto saxophone when he was 9 and developed an interest in composition in his early teens. This led him to study composition & arranging at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.
