Mike Bullock

Mike Bullock is a bassist, composer, improviser, visual artist, and writer based in Western Massachusetts. Bullock has been performing since the mid 90s at venues across the US and in Europe, including Fylkingen in Stockholm, Sweden; Instants Chavirés in Paris; Café OTO in London; Experimental Intermedia and ISSUE Project Room in New York City; The Philadelphia Museum of Art; and EMPAC in Troy, NY. In June 2015, Bullock received a Performance Grant from the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage. Dion Kerr

Dion Kerr is a forward-thinking multi-dimensional artist (multi-instrumentalist, producer, arranger, songwriter, photographer, and videographer) born and raised in South Florida.  Kerr’s work reflects a broad range of influences and mediums.  He has toured and recorded worldwide as a leader and a sideman to various groups spanning multiple genres.

Dion can be seen at some of the most renowned festivals, venues, studios, and galleries with many great young and upcoming artists of all art forms.  Kerr has shared the stage with Ignacio Berroa, Nicholas Payton, Marcus Strickland, Etienne Charles, Lillias White, Godwin Louis, Jean Caze, Immanuel Wilkins, Justin Brown, and Tivon Pennicott.  Dion is the co-founder of the band ‘The Smoogies.’ They released their debut album ‘Planet Smoogies’ with trumpeter Nicholas Payton and just released their second full-length album ‘People Music’ alongside completing a national tour funded by South Arts for their grant-winning proposal.  Dion was the engineer and co-producer of Seafoam Walls record ‘XVI’; he also played guitar in the live incarnation, released on Thurston Moore’s label ‘Ecstatic Peace Library,’ which was recorded and produced all in his home studio.  Dion is also credited as a songwriter and arranger for Jessica Tonder’s ‘A Rise Of Peace’ feature with Nowness. He is also a key member in many other highly sought-after bands in South Florida and New York art scenes.

Composer, arranger and bass player based in Stockholm, Sweden, mainly focusing on contemporary jazz and improvised music, with a strong emphasis on rhythm and an exploratory approach to melody and harmony. Writing music for small as well as large ensembles, Viktor is always aiming at fully exploiting the potential of the format at hand.

Apart from working in the field of contemporary jazz, Viktor regularly appears as an arranger and bass player in a wide range of contexts, all the way from experimental indie to children's music.

Adrian D'Aguilar

The Bahamas' trail blazer in Jazz, Adrian D'Aguilar, is a true world class musician. Growing up in a time when live music was wonderfully alive in the Bahamas Adrian was quickly caught by the music bug and went on to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston and later at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California, where he would graduate as the "Most Outstanding Bassist". After finishing college, Adrian hit the road running, living and working in America in cities like Los Angeles, Baltimore and New York for almost three decades as a full time musician. He's traveled the world working with some of music's greatest from a variety of genres; acts like The Munnings Brothers, The Platters, Eric Gale's Jazz Quartet, The Onaje Alan Gumbs Trio to even the Mighty Sparrow! Not just simply a bassist, Adrian has also worked as an arranger for films and television shows such as "Malcolm in the Middle" and as the arranger for the Disney movie "The Distinguished Gentleman" starring Eddie Murphy, he not only built the scores but made an appearance in the movie itself! Adrian's experience surely speaks for itself.

Seth Ford-Young

Seth Ford-Young is a bassist, composer and singer based in Los Angeles. He has collaborated with a dazzling cross section of artists, from Tom Waits, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and Beats Antique to The Hot Club of San Francisco, Rocco DeLuca, and Barry Manilow. Ford-Young started his musical adventures as the lead singer of punk band Initial Reaction, which played many classic punk clubs around Washington DC. While it might seem like a long journey from DC Hardcore to what he’s doing today, Ford-Young gleaned a tremendous amount of information about life on and off the bandstand during his punk days that he’s still drawing from today.

Max Gerl

Born:

Max Gerl is an acoustic and electric bassist hailing from Dallas, Texas. Gerl picked up the electric bass at 11 and the acoustic bass at 15. He quickly became an integral part of the Dallas music scene before moving to Boston, MA, where he graduated with honors from Berklee College of Music ('17). As a member of the Dallas, Boston, New York, and Los Angeles musical communities, Gerl has performed or recorded with Tia Fuller, Jordan Rakei, Makaya McCraven, Stanley Clarke, Bob Mintzer, Mike Moreno, Shaun Martin, Bernard Wright, Sean Jones, Marshall Gilkes, Chris Cheek, James Francies, Beka Gochiashvili, Cameron Graves, and Mike Mitchell at historic venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, the North Sea Jazz Festival, and the Monterey Jazz Festival
