Bassist, composer, performer, and teacher Miles Brown is a versatile musician who has earned bachelor and doctorate (forthcoming) degrees from the Eastman School of Music in jazz performance studies as well as a master’s degree from the Mannes College of Music in classical bass performance. As a jazz performer, Miles has led groups featured at the Syracuse Jazz Festival, the Rochester International Jazz Festival, the JVC Jazz Festival, and the Blue Note. He has played with jazz masters such as Sam Rivers, Joe Magnarelli, Ralph Alessi, Walt Weiskopf, Harold Danko, Bill Dobbins, Joe Lovano, Ben Monder, and Kenny Werner; and he has recorded on the Native Language, Leading Tone, and Yummy House labels. Relocated to Copenhagen in late 2017, in his natal Madrid (Spain) he played in the house band of several jam sessions comprising more than 12 years of weekly stage routine. Arturo has played with the likes of Chema Saiz, Juan Camacho (CD La estrategia del tiempo, 2008; CD Artesanía popular, 2016), Sebastián Chames, Angel Rubio, and Inoidel González, as well as with various musicians from the American continent (Riner Scivally, Margaret Stowe, Virginia Ramírez, Brenda Hopkins, Paul Brewer, and Juliet Annerino, with whom he played in New York). He has also contributed original compositions for the jazz fusion band Tet-Quart (CD Silencio, 2010) and his Arturo Mora Group (EP Sign of the Future, 2014).

Composer, jazz artist, and music educator, Philip Brown, is Professor Emeritus of Double Bass and Jazz Studies at Southern Illinois University. His performance career has included occasional dates with first-line jazz artists, as well as full-time seasons with professional symphony orchestras. Based in southern Illinois, Brown is the bassist with the New Arts Jazztet (NAJ), and continues to be active as a free-lance musician. His writing efforts have produced nearly 50 original tunes for the NAJ, and he has released four recordings as leader featuring many of those compositions. In 2003, the Illinois Arts Council honored Brown for his work and commitment within the arts with an Artist Fellowship Award in music composition. He completed his undergraduate studies in composition at Northwestern University, and his graduate work in music education at North Texas State University. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1974, Paulo Paulelli makes part of a musical family. Two erudite pianists and one guitarist-arranger that worked as orchestra regent, accompanying João Gilverto in the beginning of Bossa Nova. His grandfather, Ernesto, was homaged by the composer Adorinan Barbosa with Samba do Arnesto.

Charlie is best known as a consummate side man and has worked with a long list of artists including; Al Martino, Jerry Vale, Ron Carter, Eileen Fulton, Joe Beck, Ed Summerlin, Danny Lewis, Randy Ciarlante, Jack Dejohnette, Mike DeMicco, Warren Bernhardt, Pete Levin, Connie Francis, Danny Brubeck, Lew Soloff, Lou Marini and Rashid Ali... to name a few. Charlie is now leading his own groups; CBC-3 which includes Bob Shaut on saxes and Chris Bowman on drums, and PENAMACH which includes Pete Levin on Keyboards, Mark Dziuba on guitar and Nadav Snir Zelniker on drums. Discovered by Arnaldo DeSouteiro in 1998, when playing with his pop band Linha Amarela at Rock in Rio Café, Pescara was soon recommended to Ithamara Koorax and Dom Um Romão. Deeply impressed, Dom Um hired Pescara as the new bassist for his group in 1999, and since then he has toured extensively with him, besides recording on Dom Um’s two latest albums (Lake of Perseverance and Nu Jazz Meets Brazil, both for JSR). He also took part in an all-star benefit project (Street Angels) for the London-based Mr. Bongo label, playing on tracks led by Luiz Bonfá, Pingarilho and Ithamara Koorax. Prince Bulo Prince Bulo, a musical composer, arranger, producer, educator and performing artist. He was born in Mohlakeng, a small township in Johannesburg, South Africa. Self-taught, Prince began playing piano and keyboards at an early age. He would listen to jazz and gospel recordings, and with great aptitude, play what he had heard. His music influence came largely from gospel music and contemporary African jazz. He went on to pursue his musical career and enrolled at the then Durban Institute of Technology (DIT) where he “accidently“ fell in love with and switched to bass guitar. Prince graduated 'cum laude' in Jazz Composition, Arranging and Performance from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where he is expected to obtain his Masters Degree in Composition in 2010. He has made appearances in most of the major music festivals around South Africa including Cape Town International Jazz festival, Grahamstown Jazz festival, MTN Durban Festival, Freedom Day Arts Festival, Johannesburg Joy of Jazz, Jazz Festival, Awesome Africa, Durban, Freedom Day Festival-Limpopo, Jazz at the Lake-Qwa Qwa, Kimberly Arts Festival, as well as the Durban Blues Festival alongside greats such as Avishai Cohen, Brandford Marsalis, Joshua Redman, Jeff 'Tain' Watts, Jack DeJohnette, Danilo Perez(all USA), Zamajobe, Todd Gustafson(Norway) and also toured and performed in the USA, Canada and Sweden performing with artists such AFRIQUE, Sibongile Khumalo, Mafikizolo, Young Nations, Darius Brubeck, Neil Gonsalves, Melvin Peters, The Back Brothers and Karin Bengmark

Mike Noordzy is bass player. Upright and electric. He also plays guitar and contra alto clarinet. He's an improviser and composer and plays in the bands Mothguts, MOFODiSHU, and Intense Men. MOFODiSHU (moe-foe-dee-shu) is a noise/drone/ambient/improv/jazz trio from central NJ shore. Formed in early 2009, Mof consists of three like minded improvisers/sound generators: Mike Noordzy - contra alto clarinet, Bb clarinet and obobaphone (a homemade oboe/snake charmer like instrument). Bradley Karl - guitar, voice, bells, whistles, analog noise. Max Ross - laptop, turntable. The sound exists in three definable, constantly evolving layers: acoustic(mike), analog(brad) and digital(max)
