Victor Gaskin

Born:

Roderick Victor Gaskin, born The Bronx, New York, is a jazz bassist. Gaskin moved to Los Angeles in 1962 and started playing with Paul Horn and Red Mitchell before going on to become one of many bass players for the Jazz Crusaders. He also recorded with Curtis Amy and Dupree Bolton, before becoming a part of the West Coast jazz scene, accompanying Buddy Collette, Shelly Manne, and Bud Shank. Between 1966 and 1970, he was a member of Cannonball Adderley's groups, and in 1970 recorded with Duke Ellington's octet, quintet, quartet and trio. He started playing with the Billy Taylor Trio in the late 1970s, continuing until 1993, as well as with Johnny Hartman and Hank Jones.

Joshua Crumbly was born October 15, 1991 in Westlake Village, California. He has always possessed a strong passion and love for music. He started playing the piano at the age of three, and by the age of five began classical piano training. Joshua studied with Dathan Dedman, one of the top piano teachers in Palmdale California. He was performing in piano recitals after only three months of formal lessons, earning high marks for his performances. At the age of 9, Joshua began playing the electric bass. Lorenzo Feliciati

Essentially self-taught, Feliciati was drawn to the music of Led Zeppelin early on. By age 14, he gravitated to fretless electric bass after seeing Jaco Pastorius in concert with Weather Report during their Night Passage tour in 1982. “It was the last tour Jaco did with the band and one of my first live concerts. I had heard his first solo album in 1980 but seeing him that night changed my life. I discovered that you could be a bass player and still be the coolest cat on stage. All the eyes of the people in the audience were on Jaco that night. His playing was so powerful and full of joy.
